The GE62 6QD Apache Pro is by no means a perfect machine, but it has a lot of modern hardware and thus a lot of potential. Some of the annoyances, such as the overabundance of annoying software and the mechanical noises, could be easy for the company to fix. The biggest problem is in fact one users can take care of themselves: adding an SSD. However, none of these problems should have come up in the first place.

Model: The MSI 6QD-6QD161 is powered by the 6th generation Intel quad core processor i7-6700HQ with lower power consumption, yet better performance than before, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M. It comes with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1 TB hard disk. This model utilizes MSI's "SHIFT" technology, which pushes the system to the extreme while minimizing noise and temperature. Users have the option to switch between three profiles, "Sport", "Comfort", or "Green" to reach balance between system performance and comfortable user experience. The MSI's innovative Matrix display supports up to 2 external displays simultaneously through one HDMI 1.4 and one MINI Displayport 1.2. It makes multitasking possible even during gaming. The Matrix display supports 4K output with a resolution of up to 3840 X 2160 creating an ideal environment for extreme gaming experience and pleasant multimedia entertainment.

The display comes with wide viewing angle and with 20% more contrast level and 20% more brightness than a TN panel. It offers vivid colors and consistent brightness levels whether looking at the screen from above, below, front or from the sides. The audio features of this model include boosting power amplitude 50% more than the previous generation, which increases the volume over 10 dB(A). Any high quality stereo source is transformed into a multi channel sound and this eliminates the need to purchase extra speakers to appreciate room filling sound. The illuminated keyboard is ideal in poorly lit environments. The hardware details for the keyboard are designed for professional gamers’ needs and provide good response and tactile feedback. Notable standard accessories for this model includes a DVD RW, Bluetooth 4.2, 1 X USB 3.1, 2 x USB 3.0, a 1.3 MP Webcam, and 3-in-1 card reader.
