Lenovo launches new Mac mini-esque mini PC powered by Intel Lunar Lake

Lenovo has released a new mini PC under the Lecoo branding, the AI Mini Pro. The company has been teasing this compact computer for a while now, and now, it's available to purchase in China.
While Lenovo recently launched a new Panther Lake mini PC, the Lecoo AI Mini Pro is powered by the last-gen lineup, the Lunar Lake. Specifically, the system is being offered with three CPU options.
Among them, the base configuration features the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V, a lower-end processor from the lineup that comes with the relatively capable Intel Arc 130V iGPU. The middle-of-the-line option is the Core Ultra 5 228V, which isn't much different from the other CPU, but comes with 32GB of RAM instead of 16GB.
The top-end option from Lenovo is the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, an upper mid-range processor from the Lunar Lake series that's paired with 32GB of RAM. It features the more capable Arc 140V iGPU, which should make this Lecoo mini PC capable of handling most AAA games at the 1080p resolution.
For those who might need a little more GPU power, the mini PC brings eGPU support through USB4 (Aoostar AG02 dock curr. $229 on Amazon). However, it would've been good to see an OCuLink or Lenovo's TGX interface instead, as that would've made the system a more ideal option for an external GPU setup.
In addition to the USB4 port, this Lenovo mini PC has the following ports:
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x 3.5mm audio
- 2x 2.5G Ethernet
As for the design, this Lenovo mini PC looks very similar to the Mac mini from the bottom. It even has a metallic finish like the offering from Apple. Lenovo also highlights the cooling setup, which can keep the internals cool without the noise getting over 35dB.
Lenovo is currently offering the Lecoo AI Mini Pro with a starting price tag of CNY 3,999, about $586. The top-end option with the Core Ultra 7 CPU costs CNY 5,999, about $880. It's unclear whether the company will officially launch it outside China, but it's worth noting that Lecoo-branded products don't have much visibility in the international market.
