Lenovo Yoga 910 Series
Upgraded from the Yoga 900, the 4th generation of the Yoga Book series manufactured by Lenovo with the 360 degree hinge design, the Lenovo Yoga 910 basically does not make a lot of significant differences in the design compared to the previous version. However, it also brings remarkable improvements. For instance, it is designed to get thinner and lighter and the manufacturer, Lenovo has enlarged its display from 13.3” to 13.9” by using a fashionable super-narrow bezel display. Furthermore, the 7th generation Kaby Lake Intel Core i7 2.7 GHz dual core processor with Intel HD 620 Graphics ensures best performance for this Ultrabook. The glossy IPS touchscreen with either Full HD or 4K resolution gives users an exceptional experience. As a remark from TheVerge, the Lenovo Yoga 910 is considered one of the Best Default Windows Laptops For Everyone when vying with HP’s Spectre X360, Acer’s Spin 7, and the venerable Dell XPS 13.
1. Design
From the outside, the 910 does not look much different from the last year’s Yoga 900, but that’s not a flaw. It’s a classy, sophisticated look that puts the Yoga 910 on the short list of the best-looking laptops on the market, commented from GearOpen. Similarly, the MobileTechReview says, „The CNC aluminum unibody construction is rigid, more so than the previous Yoga 900, and the finish now looks like metal rather than the painted-on finish of the Yoga 900”.
2. Display
This notebook has two display options to choose: Full HD (1920 x 1080) or 4K (3840 x 2160). Certainly, the price depends on the selected display option. GearOpen reports that at 292 nits, the Yoga 910 screen was pretty bright, but it was dimmer than its main competitor - the HP Spectre x360 (318 nits). Beside that, the 910’s color accuracy was also quite strong, since it earned a DeltaE rating of 0.76 (this page considers a rating under 1 to be very good). As remarked from MobileTechReview, the 4K display has more vivid looking colors and higher apparent contrast. The 1080p panel is made by AU Optronics while the 4K display is constructed by LG and definitely looks better than the 1080p model.
3. Keyboard and Touchpad
Following a comment from GearOpen: With the 65 g actuation weight required to depressed the keys, the reviewer to reach 75 words per minutes for his first try. “Unlike the silver keys on a silver frame of HP’s and Microsoft’s convertibles, the black smile-shaped keys on the Yoga offer more contrast. This makes the Yoga 910 look a bit less sleek to me, but I appreciated the contrast”, says PasteMagazine. However, for MobileTechReview, it’s just a good enough keyboard for most unless you particularly hate short travel keyboards. But, “For the most part, the keyboard on the Yoga 910 is good. There’s plenty of key travel, their keys are well-spaced with a curved bottom edge that make them feel like they’re even bigger targets”, TheVerge evaluated. Moreover, in the point of view from TrustReview, keys feel suitably spread out and in general, the reviewer did not have serious issues typing on Yoga 910.
4. Performance
The Yoga 910 features a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7-7500U CPU. Lenovo gives the customers two choices: 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB PCIe SSD for 1080p screen solution or 16 GB of RAM for the 4K display. The CPU’s efficiency is boosted with this minor upgrade so the CPU can run at Turbo Boost speed for longer without overheating. Therefore, it is concluded that the Intel 7th generation Kaby Lake is able to make a better battery life and reduced heat obviously. “The Yoga 910 was never hurting for power. Even when the Yoga 910 had upward of 15 tabs in Chrome and a couple of HD Youtube streams playing in the background, I didn’t notice a hint of lag”, remarked GearOpen. Similarly, the PasteMagazine says that performance had never been an issue for the Yoga 910, even with multiple apps, programs and browser windows opened. The Yoga 910 had performed fine with light gaming, video editing and photo editing. In addition, TheVerge announced: “I’ve been running multiple apps and have kept an ungodly amount of both Edge and Chrome browser tabs open, without any problem”.
5. Battery
About battery, GearOpen has confirmed that the Yoga 910 brings a significant improvement in battery life. On the Laptop Mag Battery Test (continuous web surfing over Wi-fi), the Yoga 910 lasted 10 hours and 36 minutes (on 1080p display), which is 2.5 hours longer than last year’s Yoga 900 (7:57 hours). And for the 4K display, TheVerge says that the battery life did not quite live up to Lenovo’s 9-hour claim, but it was still good. On their looping website test, it had pulled a respectable 7 hours and 44 minutes with the 4K display.
6. Connectivity, audio, and emissions
According to GearOpen, the sound system consisting of two bottom-mounted JBL speakers, are pretty decent and can easily fill a room with sound.
The connectivity consists of one USB Type-A and two USB-C ports, while it does not include Thunderbolt 3. In addition there is a built-in fingerprint reader, which you can use to sign in to Windows or other services. One USB-type C port can be used to recharge the notebook, making it more convenient. However, the reviewer of TheVerge says that he couldn’t get the back USB-C port to do anything at all except work as a power jack - and even then, it worked best with the USB-C power adapter and cable that came with the laptop.
“About the heating, the Yoga 910 does not get too hot during casual use. After it streamed HD video for 15 minutes, the hottest spot on the laptop, near the bottom vent, measured 97.5 Fahrenheit degrees. That’s slightly above our 95-degree comfort threshold” (evaluation from GearOpen). As for TheVerge’s remark, when the reviewer was using only a few apps, the fans spin up with a whine that wasn’t god-awful, but was noticeable
Zusammenfassung
In general, GearOpen considered that Yoga does have a worthy competitor: HP’s Spectre x360 is even lighter, and it has better speakers and Thunderbolt 3 with the nearly same amount of battery life while the choice comes when you value the Yoga 910’s larger screen display and 4K resolution. And as commented from TheVerge, the Yoga 910 is a good laptop, maybe even a very good one, but it’s not a great one. “In the past the Yoga 900 series has blended a good mix of affordability with performance, but this latest iteration may skew things too far into the luxury category”, concluded TechRadar.
To sum up, most users consider the Lenovo Yoga 910 a high-end Ultrabook because of its performance. The exceptional design including the larger screen and the edgier design combined with the 7th generation of the Intel Core i7 by Kaby Lake CPU makes this notebook nearly perfect in the 2-in-1 laptop formula. Especially, the Yoga 910 has received lots of positive reviews from users who are really interesting in this convertible series. Lenovo still keeps what users were attracted to in the Yoga series like the metal body, and the unique functional watchband hinge. Moreover, another considerable note of the Yoga 910 is the great 4K display without battery obliteration. PasteMagazine had a good remark about this laptop generally: “The Yoga 910 is a near perfect convertible for 2016 if you are willing to make some compromises”. Nevertheless, this notebook still has a few flaws. For example, fans seem to run constantly and the manufacturer seems to concentrate into luxury category instead of affordability with performance. Anyway, the Yoga 910 still is a great convertible laptop of Lenovo because of its extraordinary specifications. Finally, MobileTechReview comments, “There’s a lot to love here, the Lenovo Yoga 910 is the slimmest, lightest and best looking Yoga in Lenovo’s consumer line to date. It’s rigid, well-made and that watchband hinge is as striking and functional as ever. This is a high-end Ultrabook with a price tag to match”.

Silver Award. Despite the rather high price, Lenovo's ambitious, long-lasting 14-inch convertible doesn't quite make it across the 90 percent mark. The margin is very narrow though, as the new convertible is thoroughly impressive in most areas. The whistling fan system and the lack of physical ports prevent a better score, however.

As long as you don't plan to use this laptop for continuous demanding loads, the Lenovo Yoga 910 is one of the best premium convertibles in its niche. The big battery, excellent keyboard/trackpad, larger 13.9" screen and splendid build quality are its main selling points, but the the speakers or the everyday use performance are not far off. Just keep in mind this computer is a little bigger than others in its class, runs rather warm despite the fact that the fans inside spin all the time, and lacks a digitizer and Thunderbolt 3 port. Read on for the whole story.

We’re assuming the Yoga has some slightly more aggressive CPU throttling in action, despite it being thicker than the Spectre. On paper the Yoga 910 beats the Spectre in every regard, for a price that is almost equal to the Spectre. The tiny performance difference isn’t noticeable in real life, so the additional memory and SSD capacity of the Yoga 910 give it the edge over the Spectre.

The Yoga 910 is a step forward for Lenovo's versatile Yoga line. It doesn't do what the 900S did and downsize, but instead manages to fit a 13.9-inch screen in a chassis that's almost the same size as the 13.3-inch Yoga 900 -- albeit with some weight gain.

It's really too bad that a bum keyboard would bring down such a solid option from Lenovo. In my opinion, this is the best Yoga they've ever made (at least, not counting the awesome ThinkPad X1 Yoga, which is pricier but has a heavenly keyboard). The problem is that the competition has caught up in a huge way.

The Lenovo Yoga 910 is a well designed, great performing ultrabook with an excellent touch screen display. The major complaint I have with the laptop is the battery life which fell well under Lenovo’s stated expected battery life.

Suffice to say, the Yoga 910 has enough flaws that it couldn't possibly rank as my favorite Windows laptop (that would be the Dell XPS 13 or maybe the Spectre x360 or Surface Book). Still, it has a lot to recommend it, including a thin and light design, good specs for the money, long battery life and a mostly comfortable typing experience. Oh, and a full-size USB port -- can't take those for granted these days.

Still, at the entry level, there are cheaper alternatives that offer more. If you want a compact footprint, HP’s 2016 Spectre x360 comes in cheaper and offers support for Thunderbolt 3 on its USB Type-C ports. However, if you’re a video buff who demands the most pixels on a convertible, Lenovo’s more expensive Yoga 910 configurations offer an excellent blend of performance, portability along with a 13.9-inch 4K UHD display. If you have the cash, that’s the model we’d recommend you spring for.

The Lenovo Yoga 910 sits at the pricier end of midrange convertible-hybrid laptops, but it's certainly one that many would be happy to tote. It should last for quite a few years before it starts to feel slow, it transforms among its four modes stylishly, and its battery life is phenomenal. While it isn't an impulse buy, its features and performance are good enough to make it our latest Editors' Choice.

Why, sharp-eyed readers will ask, does the 910 get four stars to the Spectre x360's four and a half? Mainly because the former is $1,179 with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD and the latter is a fractionally better value at $1,299 with double those amounts (although the HP is not available with a 4K screen). But we have no hesitation in giving both our Editors' Choice.

The move to Kaby Lake certainly has boosted performance, but the Yoga 910 has a lot more going for it than just the latest CPU. Any company can shoehorn a new CPU into a chassis. The Yoga 910 is a seriously improved laptop over the 900 in all the ways that count—it’s easily one of the best convertible notebooks available. Even if you never bend it into other shapes, it’s still a fantastic ultraportable. It has class-leading battery life, a gorgeous display with a mostly razor-thin bezel, and excellent performance. And at $1,049, it’s also less expensive than its competition. Sure, the webcam’s placement isn’t ideal, and its slim stature means you're short on ports, but those are trade-offs we can live with, given the Yoga 910’s otherwise stellar attributes.

There's a lot to love here, the Lenovo Yoga 910 is the slimmest, lightest and best looking Yoga in Lenovo's consumer line to date. It's rigid, well-made and that watchband hinge is as striking and functional as ever. This is a high-end Ultrabook with a price tag to match. The price isn't extravagant, especially because Lenovo and their biggest US partner Best Buy are prone to having frequent sales, but it's a little bit more than the competing HP Spectre x360 (which must be the thorn in Lenovo's side by now). The Yoga 910 is every bit as attractive and chic, and it adds the bonus larger display and a stunning 4K option. The laptop is fast and there are storage and RAM options to ensure its usefulness for several years. Our only caveat is the fan, which can be annoying. Perhaps Lenovo will issue a firmware update to address that.

The Lenovo YOGA 910 stands out amongst the crowd. It is an eye-catcher in every sense of the word, boasting an all-aluminum unibody, the attractive watchband hinge, slim bezels, and a satin finish. Things only get better from there, with an excellent display and the option of a 4K resolution, both USB-C and USB-A ports, and the latest Intel processors.

Placed next to its peers, the Yoga 910 clearly trades a bit of portability in favor of high-end performance and a gorgeous 4K display. Not everyone will prefer that. HP’s Spectre x360, for example, should last noticeably longer on the road.

The Yoga 910 is the cream of the 2-in-1 crop. It gives you the latest Intel Core i7, a fairly big 13.9-inch screen in a compact body, and more than 10 hours of battery life. Add in what is still the best hinge in the business, and you have an irresistible 2-in-1 starting at just $1,200. The only real downside of the Yoga 910 is its awkward webcam placement.

The Yoga 910 could be one of the best Ultrabooks to hit the market this year. Lenovo has ticked all the right box hardware-wise, loading the Yoga 910 with full-fat core-i CPUs and adding a useful 4K option. Add to this the return of Lenovo’s nifty 360-degree hinge and I can definitely see the 910 being a competitor to Dell’s XPS 13, which was TrustedReviews' recommended Ultrabook last year.

The Lenovo Yoga 910 is definitely a looker, then, but it's definitely pricey too: starting at £1,099, this is an investment laptop with enough standout features to warrant its price point. Push up to the 4K display and expect to pay a chunk of extra cash, although exactly how much hasn't been confirmed for the UK.

In the past the Yoga 900 series has blended a good mix of affordability with performance, but this latest iteration may skew things too far into the luxury category. We'll have to see how the other configurations stack up as well as how this machine performs before we can deliver our final verdict, but we're optimistic that Lenovo has knocked it out of the park once again.

The Lenovo Yoga 900 perfected the 2-in-1 laptop formula and now the Yoga 910 seeks to elevate the series to all new heights. There are plenty of welcome elements here including the larger screen, edgier design and revamped inputs. However, some of the changes aren’t sitting well with us including the marginally higher price and the new bare metal keyboard deck.

There isn’t we can say against the Yoga 910 because it surpassed almost all of our expectations. It’s sleek, powerful, versatile and portable. The build quality is just impeccable while the keyboard and touchpad assure excellent user experience. And even though the weight of the notebook has increased a bit, we can’t really blame Lenovo for that because it houses a monstrous 78Wh battery that will get you through the day and a half probably. Our battery tests confirm that with record-breaking results and quite honestly, you won’t find any other notebook at this price range with similar endurance.

To look at the Lenovo Yoga 910 is an absolute triumph. That trim bezel, ultra-high resolution and great-looking watchband hinge ensure it's one of the most striking laptops on the market, without overdoing the bling.

Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB-80VF00FHSP
The Lenovo Yoga 910 series is part of the highest range of convertibles from Lenovo. It rivals premium models from other manufacturers, such as the HP Spectre 13 x360, the Asus Zenbook Flip S UX370UA, or the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1. The market for convertible laptops is growing at a steady pace as more and more users are replacing their old computer with a more modern and versatile device that can be transformed into a tablet or laptop. If a user needs a compact, lightweight, and convertible laptop to accompany them, the Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB will be the best choice. In addition to benefiting from 4 modes of use, it guarantees a high performance thanks to its Intel Core i7 processor and a high resolution on the amazing integrated Full-HD 13.9-inch panel. The premium design is reflected in a thickness of only 14.3 millimeters and a weight of 1.38 kilograms, as well as in the use of aluminum in the construction of the housing. Thanks to its dimensions of 32.3 x 22.4 cm and ultra-light weight of 1.4 kg, users can comfortably carry it in their backpack wherever they go. In addition to offering a pleasant typing experience, the keyboard’s backlight has 2 levels of brightness to make work in low-light environments easier.
This version of the Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB makes use of the Intel Core i7-7500U, a high-end model of Intel’s Kaby Lake low power (TDP of 15 W). This processor consists of 2 cores and 4 logical threads (HyperThreading), has 4 MB of cache memory, and offers a frequency that ranges between 2.7 GHz and 3.5 GHz in a single core, thanks to the turbo technology Intel Boost. The reduced thickness requires the integrated Intel HD Graphics 620, which is the current entry-level graphics processing unit that will allow users to play only with medium or low details on less resource-demanding games. The fluidity of the system is achieved thanks to its M12-PCIe SSD with 512GB that offers higher transfer rates than SATA SSDs. On the motherboard, there are 8 GB of DDR4 memory at 2133 MHz. As for the operating system, Windows 10 Home 64-bit is installed. Connectivity is limited by the reduced thickness of the case. Users dispose of a USB-3.0 port, a USB-2.0 Type-C as well as USB-3.0 Type-A port, and a Wireless Wifi AC Dual-Band chip with Bluetooth 4.1. The webcam is positioned on the lower part of the screen, an unusual position that is motivated by the fine frame. To improve the security of the device, there is also a fingerprint reader.
