Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 2024 debuts with Intel Core Ultra CPUs
The Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 2024 has made its debut today in China alongside a couple of other Xiaoxin laptops. At the core, it’s an upgrade over the 2023 ultrabook, which came with Intel 13th Gen Core i5-13500H CPU. The new notebook will be available with Intel Core Ultra 5 125H and Core Ultra 7 155H, bringing a decent performance jump over the predecessor.
But it’s not just the processing power that saw an upgrade. The newer Meteor Lake chipsets also offer better iGPUs and have an NPU. In addition, the Xiaoxin Pro 14 2024 packs 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1 TB SSD. There are PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots for storage expansion.
The display of the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 2024 has also been upgraded. It features a 2.8K OLED screen that runs at 120 Hz. This panel has a peak brightness rating of 600 nits and offers a 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut coverage. With this screen, the laptop should be suitable for professional creators.
Battery-wise, the 2023 notebook had a 75 Wh cell, which has been upgraded to an 84 Wh cell for the 2024 model. Lenovo has also integrated a performance-focused cooling solution into the laptop. The Xiaoxin Pro 14 2024 comes with dual fans and two heat pipes.
As for the ports, the Xiaoxin Pro 14 2024 has two USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 4 support, two USB Type-A, one HDMI, and an SD card reader. Lenovo hasn’t explicitly shared details on the pricing, but the official teaser poster hints the Core Ultra 5 variant will be similarly priced as the 2023 Core-i5 model. That laptop debuted at CNY5,999, which is around $841.
Global availability hasn’t been announced yet either, but Lenovo generally rebrands the Xiaoxin models as IdeaPad laptops (IdeaPad Slim 5i curr. $900 on Amazon) for the international markets.
