89.3% Lenovo ThinkPad T16 G1 Intel laptop review: 16-inch marathon runner | Notebookcheck
The Lenovo ThinkPad T16 G1, a 16-inch laptop with long battery runtimes, has been redesigned with a 16:10 display, 28-watt Alder Lake and carbon fiber. The business notebook is very quiet, economical and has a strong short-term turbo. But what about long-term performance?

90.2% Lenovo ThinkPad T16 G1 AMD laptop review: Efficient and faster than Intel | Notebookcheck
The Lenovo ThinkPad T16 AMD is slightly rare among the 16-inch business laptops, since it also shows some ambitions toward being a slim workstation, with its Ryzen 6000 CPU. In this way, it is very similar to the ThinkPad P16s, and it is also not very different from it in other regards. Thanks to its WQXGA display and RDNA 2 GPU, it is also suited for simple multimedia tasks.

88.6% Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 Core i7 laptop review: Quiet at the cost of performance | Notebookcheck
The Core i7-1270P is faster than the Core i5-1240P or Ryzen 5 6650U configurations on paper, but it's a bit more complicated in execution. The short Turbo Boost potential of the model means steeper throttling for the Core i7-1270P when running demanding loads.

Lenovo’s newest addition release to its T lineup is one that we are certainly impressed with. The Lenovo Thinkpad T16 is a phenomenal laptop for productivity, traveling, and general business use, and an all-day battery. The performance is more than adequate for a business professional and will only begin to fall short for intensive creative tasks or complex modeling programs. The price is a little high, but a solid all-around device that is well worth considering if you are in the market.

80% Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 review — Solid but expensive
Source: Laptop Mag English
If you need a quality productivity laptop that you can bring with you on long trips, the Lenovo Thinkpad T16 Gen 1 will absolutely satisfy you. Thanks to its 12th Gen processor and integrated graphics, the laptop delivers excellent overall performance outside of a sluggish SSD. And the excellence continues on the battery life with almost 12 hours of battery life. The speakers are impressive especially for a business system and a comfortable keyboard and a host of security features are just icing on the cake. But for the $2,099 Lenovo is asking, I expect better from the display and the SSD. If you’re looking for a system that brings those to the table with comparable battery life and performance, I recommend the Acer Swift 5 (2022). But if you’re looking for solid business laptops for mobile professionals, the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 deserves a closer look.

78% Lenovo Thinkpad T16 Gen 1 review: A big-screened workstation for pros
Source: PC World English
Sometimes all you need is a gigantic screen. Whether it’s to get a better look at a PowerPoint slide or blow up a dense Excel spreadsheet, it’s easier to get a lot of work done when you’ve got a larger canvas. In years past, that might have meant springing for a bulky 17-inch class laptop. Thanks to narrow bezels, Lenovo’s ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 has managed to cram a 16-inch display into a frame that would’ve housed a 15-inch just a few short years ago. With ultrabook thinness, plenty of ports, and a meaty Intel i7 chip, this business laptop is plenty productive even without external screens or desktop docks.

80% Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 Review: Business Class All The Way
Source: Slashgear English
Lenovo did a remarkable job building the ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 laptop. It is configurable for just about any need and provides plenty of power. This is a business-centric device and was built to meet the wide-ranging needs of working professionals. As a result, it can handle a wide range of use cases — and it's clearly built to last. I would have liked to see a brighter display, especially with a price tag that can easily reach north of $2000, but with the solid performance and great battery life, I can live with the 300 nits of brightness. If you routinely work outside, you may want to spring for their display with improved brightness. While not as user serviceable as the Framework laptop, the bottom panel of this Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 notebook can be removed, allowing access to replace some of the internals, such as the RAM and hard drive. If you're the sort of person that aims to use any given piece of hardware for as much time as possible, the ability to upgrade RAM and storage space in a laptop like this should be a prerequisite to any purchase.  You can find the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 for a range of prices, anywhere from $1055.52 all the way up to and beyond $2,000, all based on the parts you choose and the software you include on the Lenovo website. The build we've reviewed here has a price of approximately $2099.

At roughly two thousand dollars, the T16 Gen 1 isn't cheap (though most business laptops are bought in discounted bulk deals), and while Lenovo's ThinkPad build and keyboard quality lift its rating, it's not in Editors' Choice contention. This Lenovo includes plenty of ports and adequate performance, but faster desktop replacements with superior screens are readily available.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" from English legend, novo (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.

In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.

In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.

16.00:

This range for display formats was and is a rarity. It is larger than the general standard of 15 inches, but not yet in the range of large workstations. One usually has higher screen resolutions available, but portability suffers from that.

78.78%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
