It’s been about four months since we last got word of Lenovo’s Tab3 8 Plus, but now we’ve got benchmarks and full specification details. Just to top all that off, there are some official press renders, too. The amount of detailed information contained within this leak lends it more credibility than usual, but the source is still an unofficial one and should be taken as such.
Sources say that the Tab3 8 Plus was scheduled for launch back when it first leaked in September, but for whatever reason, Lenovo decided to hold this one back. Targeted at families, the Tab3 8 Plus allows multiple users to have their own personalized profiles and apps on the device.
It will have two versions: one that is WiFi-only and another that is 4G-LTE compatible. From a technical standpoint, the tablet’s specs seem underwhelming in 2017, but keep in mind that this is a medium-low-end tablet that isn’t expected to cost more than $160. All devices will feature an 8-inch 1920x1200-pixel IPS display, the Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3GB RAM and 16GB storage with expansion options via microSD cards up to 128GB. The device will also have a 4250 mAh battery, Dolby Atmos speakers, and it will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The Tab3 8 Plus is expected to release during MWC 2017.
