Lenovo did a very good job with their Legion Y540. Not only does this perform very well and leaves room for tweaking and overclocking, but it's also configurable and more affordable than most other options with similar features. However, it's not without quirks, and among them, you'll have to make do with the rather shallow keyboard, the small battery and its tinny speakers.
