It comes with a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200, up to 300 nits of brightness, and a 1,200:1 contrast ratio. Sitting above the screen is a 1,080p webcam with IR support and a privacy shutter.
Under the hood, there's an Intel Core 5 210H processor packing four P-cores (up to 4.8 GHz) and four E-cores (up to 3.6 GHz), along with 48-EU Iris Xe integrated graphics. It's joined by 16 GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD taking up an M.2 2242 slot, with a further M.2 2280 slot available for storage expansion (Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB SSD curr. $169.98 on Amazon).
Connectivity includes a pair of 5 Gbps USB-C ports (Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort Alt mode 1.4), another two 5 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 1.4 (outputs up to 4K@30Hz), a microSD card reader, as well as a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are also on board.
The notebook's aluminum chassis measures 14.03 × 9.87 × 0.67 inches (356.5 × 250.6 × 16.9 mm) and weighs 4.07 lb (1.85 kg), while housing a 60 Wh battery that can charge at up to 65 W with the included USB-C power adapter.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i 16 has a user rating score of 4.2/5 at the retailer, with buyers praising the machine's build quality and cooling system. The main downsides seem to be the weak speakers and limited color coverage of the display.
