The Epic Games Store has been giving away Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) and its sequel, KOTOR II: The Sith Lords, for Android and iOS since this time last month. Later today, these games are expected to be replaced with a new giveaway, given the company's commitment to fleshing out its mobile free game program throughout this year.
Typically, the storefront announces its next free game ahead of time. While it continues to do so on its PC equivalent, it does not afford mobile gamers the same notice. Nonetheless, Redditor u/MeguminShiro has beaten Epic Games to the punch by revealing what will be replacing KOTOR and KOTOR II from 15:00 UTC today.
According to u/MeguminShiro, the storefront plans to offer Super Meat Boy Forever Mobile for free, which it currently sells for $0.99 on Android and iOS. If true, then this would be Epic Games' least valuable mobile giveaway to date. With that being said, physical copies of Super Meat Boy Forever are hard to come by and run to over $40 on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 (curr. $43.54 on Amazon).
Please note that restrictions still exist for redeeming free Epic Games Store games on iOS and iPadOS. As it stands, only those residing within the European Union and UK can download Epic Games Store free mobile games. Added to that, the Epic Games Store cannot be downloaded directly from the App Store or Google Play Store. Please see Epic Games' support pages for installing its mobile app on Android and iOS.
