Leak: Xiaomi Poco F9 Pro and Ultra start from €799 with 200 MP, 185 Hz, and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
After a leak had already revealed that the Redmi K100 Pro and the Redmi K100 Pro Max will be launched in Europe as the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra, and will feature slightly smaller batteries, Winfuture has published the first images and further details on the price and specifications of these two affordable "flagship killers."
Unsurprisingly, the design matches that of their Redmi counterparts. Xiaomi has simply replaced the lettering on the back. As before, the smartphones feature an IP69-certified, and thus waterproof, housing with a flat metal frame and an exceptionally wide camera module in the style of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro ($1,057 on Amazon). In addition to three cameras each, this camera module on both models also features a Bose logo, indicating the speaker partnership. On the top-of-the-line model, the woofer is located right next to the cameras.
Although the batteries are getting smaller, the 6.59-inch Poco F9 Pro and the 6.85-inch Poco F9 Ultra still feature batteries with capacities of 6,330 mAh and 8,050 mAh, respectively. Xiaomi consistently uses 185 Hz AMOLED displays with a peak HDR brightness of 4,500 nits. Both smartphones feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 200 MP f/1.7 main camera, but there are differences in the other cameras.
The Poco F9 Pro makes do with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50 MP f/2.0 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, while the Ultra features a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50 MP f/3.0 telephoto camera with 5x zoom. According to Winfuture, the Xiaomi Poco F9 Pro will launch in Europe with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage for €799, while the Poco F9 Ultra is expected to be offered with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for €999. The exact launch date has not yet been announced.
