LeEco is a strong contender to Apple in the Chinese smartphone market and may soon challenge the Cupertino company outside of Asia. The manufacturer has teased that its next flagship smartphone could sport as much as 8 GB of RAM and will likely be called the Le Pro 3 once it is officially announced on September 21st. The upcoming Pro 3 series may consist of at least two SKUs with 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM, respectively, and up to 256 GB of internal storage with a Snapdragon 821 SoC for each.
The Chinese manufacturer is also planning to one-up Apple with a much larger battery capacity. Whereas the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have relatively small battery capacities at 1960 mAh and 2900 mAh, respectively, the Le Pro 3 could have up to 4000 mAh for its SKU with 6 GB of RAM and up to 5000 mAh for its SKU with 8 GB of RAM. Charging the LeEco smartphones shouldn't take much longer either as they are expected to take advantage of Qualcomm's fast-charging Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
None of these specifications have been confirmed, however, so we will have to wait until LeEco's press event set for September 21st. The manufacturer has expressed interest in expanding to the North American market, so there is a good possibility that its upcoming devices may be compatible with a wider range of LTE bands.
