LG carries a handful of smartwatches including the G Watch, G Watch R, and Watch Urbane. The South Korean manufacturer even has a fitness band called the LifeBand Touch FB84. Now, LG is expected to expand its portfolio with a sports-centric smartwatch.
The reason for the assumption is that a new LG smartwatch has been spotted at the FCC with the model name LG-VC110. Pictures of the device show a fairly clunky watch, which suggests that it may be intended for fitness and sports instead of being a standard Android smartwatch. The chassis appears to be a combination of rubber and plastic.
Documents also reveal a 1.77-inch display and a micro-USB port. The watch will carry a cellular modem and may not even run on Android Wear. There is always a chance for an official reveal at IFA this September, so we'll keep our eyes out.
