So, what is the LG X Mach and where does it sit? We see it as kind of a modernized G4 — it does have the same internals, but also a fingerprint scanner, and the new LG UX interface. All while it shies away from the “premium” build materials, which have become sort of a craze nowadays. We are pretty certain that there are users out there that still appreciate a comfortable, matte plastic-covered smartphone, and the LG X Mach may be just what they have been waiting to upgrade to.

LG X Power K220
The LG X Power K220 is an affordable smartphone with decent specification ideal for mid level users. The smartphone weighs at 139 g (4.9 oz) and measures at 148.9 x 74.9 x 7.9 mm (5.86 x 2.95 x 0.31 in). The LG X Power K220 has a functional plastic casing with a chrome finishing edge. Although it is not a metal chassis, it still feels solid and pleasant to hold with a textured back cover. For users who have a sweaty palm, the texture on the back cover provides more grip to hold. There are three color options to choose from, which are Indigo, White, Gold. The LG X Power K220 is powered by a Mediatek MT6735 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. As for storage, it features an internal storage of 16 GB. 16 GB of internal memory could be insufficient for users who capture many photos or store a lot of documents and videos. This situation can be solved by adding up to 256 GB of external storage via the dedicated microSD card slot. The primary 13 MP f/2.2 camera features autofocus and LED flash. Additional features of the primary camera includes geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, smile detection, voice activation, self-timer, high dynamic range mode (HDR) and panorama. In addition, it is capable of capturing 1080p video at 30 fps. The secondary 5 MP f/2.4 aperture camera is able to record 1080p videos, too. The smartphone features a 5.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and multi-touch support. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 69.4% and a pixel density of approximately 277 ppi. To resist the screen from damages and scratches, it is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. While Gorilla Glass 3 is strong enough, it is definitely not as good as the latest Gorilla Glass 5. As for battery, it has a non-removable Li-Ion 4100 mAh battery built in, which is a much higher capacity than what is commonly available in the market. In addition, it supports fast battery charging. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and there aren't any news on an 7.0 upgrade. It will probably not get it as is the case for many mid-range and low-end devices. However, LG's software already includes some of the newer features available on Android 7.0. For wireless connectivity, it features 2G/3G/4G network, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, FM radio and GPS. As for input/output, it features microUSB v2.0 and headphone jack. Sensors built in on the smartphone include accelerometer, proximity, and compass. The LG is a good device for the typical mid-range users, but it falls short in terms of its screen and is quite pricey when compared to what some of the Chinese phone makers have to offer. What is loses on its screen and price range, it gains on its battery life. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

For the price, the LG X Power is a capable phone for Boost Mobile users that can keep you browsing, texting, and talking for hours longer than most comparable devices. The Samsung Galaxy J7 gets you a brighter AMOLED display, a sharper camera, and features like NFC and dual-band Wi-Fi, but it'll cost you $70 more. The LG Stylo 2 is more affordable and has some useful stylus-optimized features, but it's held back by an aging processor.

For a phone that's all about the battery, we expected this to last even longer - like its rivals do. The camera is poor in low light and the components are low powered. There's not much to like here.

Who is this phone for? This phone is really for those out there who do not require a flagship phone with the fastest processor or the most stylish design. This is for the average Joe and Jill who want a phone that just works and lasts for a long time before needing to be charged. Sure it may not interact with Android Auto as it should but there was a way around that, but once again, the people who this phone is targetted at are unlikely to use Android Auto. This would be the perfect phone for my mother, my father, probably even my wife, and especially younger kids who MUST have a phone but do not require the best phone around.

The LG X Power has a name that may suggest powerful performance, but it’s all about the battery. This mid-ranger isn’t a device made to impress, and it’s really meant for users who don’t do that much on their phones yet often complain about battery life. If messaging and social media are your primary uses, whereas gaming and video are not, the X Power is well suited for you.

When you draw the line, the LG X Power hits a few home runs: its battery life topped our charts and that’s truly special. The phone will last you two and even three days on a single charge, something that those owning flagships will envy you for.

Value is pretty decent as you can pick up this device off-contract at major carriers up here in Canada for $249 CAD. In the USA you should be able to pick it up for well under $200 and depending on where you pick it up, it could be unlocked. At the start of testing, only Bell was carrying it here in the Great White North, but now it's available almost everywhere. Overall this phone is great and delivers on LGs promise of a phone with a huge battery that isn't a huge device. If you're looking for a phone that you'll have to charge a couple times a week instead of a couple times a day, this is about your only choice. As I mentioned earlier, there are a few things that could be better, but overall it won't disappoint; not for the price.

Now we return to the question posed at the beginning of this review: is the LG X Power good enough to be someone’s starter phone? My answer would have to be no. I wish for the sake of its glorious battery, that I could recommend it, but it’s many flaws disallow me from doing so in good conscience. There are simply better options in the same range.

LG X power2
While Oukitel has tried to cram a large battery in its phone and succeeded it failed in other departments but with more and more users demanding larger battery capacities manufacturers have started to listen, one of them being LG which has recently released their take on a larger battery and uncompromising performance packaged into one called the LG X Power 2. An overview of the LG X Power 2 specs reveal that it is powered by an Octo-core Mediatek MT6750 processor with 16GB of internal storage, 2 GB of memory and naturally the larger battery rated at 4500mAh. So how does it stack up to its competitors? Starting with its LCD panel the LG X Power 2 is equipped with a 5.5-inch 720p screen while not impressive in terms of size it can actually help reduce its power consumption which can help prolong its battery life even with its large 4500mAh battery. Another thing would be its memory which at only 2 GB might seem scarce for an Android but manufacturers claim that with such a display size it should require too much memory. Of course, higher spec numbers tend to lead to biased views but it is safe to say while the LG X Power 2 specs might not be earth shattering, it is actually quite decent as a mid-range device since much of its performance boils down to how well the software is implemented. In terms of software the LG X Power 2 is preloaded with stock Android 7 Nougat which is actually a good thing since as it is the LG X Power 2 doesn’t have much resources for unnecessary programs. Moving on to its camera the LG X Power 2 is equipped with a 13 MP sensor which is actually quite snappy with focusing being swift and accurate. Along with the above the LG X Power 2 also sports a front facing wide angle 5-megapixel camera which can be useful for group shots. Because the LG X Power 2 is a mid-tier phone, users should not expect much from its chassis construction which is overall made of plastic but still remains rigid enough for day to day use. As for IO just like the K10000, LG has decided to use the aging microUSB standard which should really be phased out by now with the USB type C standard. At least LG’s micro USB is actually accessible by most if not all microUSB connectors unlike Oukitel’s K10000 which has a recessed microUSB. Naturally as this phone is marketed to have a large battery and long battery life times it should score, well right? Well sort of, while LG rates it to last at least 7 days actual usage is only 2 but this is only due to intensive use, LG’s metrics might be true if the user uses the phone somewhat conservatively as opposed to intensively, so maybe what LG says might hold water. In conclusion while the LG X Power 2 is neither premium nor a flagship. It achieves its main goal while sacrificing some but it isn’t as bad as the K10000 from Oukitel which really hurts its performance. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

Large battery with nothing behind it? The LG X power2 promises a long battery life with its high-capacity battery. But besides the battery life, there are many other aspects that make a good smartphone. In our test we will find out whether LG's mid-range device can deliver here.

The LG X Power 2 isn't the prettiest phone available. Sitting in this "mass tier" of devices, it hasn't been designed to turn heads, it's been designed to outlast everything else. Given the size of the battery and the relatively low level of spec elsewhere, we suspect that it will sail through a day with few problems.

It definitely looks like LG has made sacrifices in other areas to really focus on good battery life, so it’ll all boil down to how well it actually lasts in real-world use. That will have to wait until we give the X Power2 a full review, so fingers crossed it can match up to our expectations.

If long battery life is your priority in a phone then the LG X Power 2 could very well be for you. The success of the LG X Power 2 is likely to depend on its price – too close to £200 and the Lenovo P2 becomes a rival that's almost too big to overcome.

The X Power 2 is due to launch in March in Latin America, before hitting the US, Asia, Europe, and other regions. We don't know pricing yet, but the X Power was a relatively affordable device, so we expect the X Power 2 to fall within the same $100 to $200 range. Check back for more details and a full review when we get the phone in for testing.

Overall, the LG X venture is a handset that is quite capable and is a good option for someone looking for a decent performer with lots of battery life. Sure, it doesn’t have the best camera or appearance, but it makes up for that in other ways. Perhaps the biggest draw for the device will be that it is certified MIL-STD 810G device and has an IP68 rating, giving the user a bit more freedom when it comes to being carefree. While it wasn’t abused during the course of the review, it was lightly tossed about more than normal and also submerged in water.

Ideally, the X Venture would cost $50 to $75 less, which would make it more competitive when compared with budget phones like the $230 Moto G5 Plus. Even so, if you just want something simple, tough and affordable, the X Venture is a solid choice.

For $330, the LG X Venture gives you a good combination of durability, performance, and size. Compared with the brick-like Sonim XP6 and Cat S60, the X Venture is a svelte device that won't weigh down your pocket, but still offers solid protection. The Galaxy S7 Active is a more powerful phone all around, but it's also a lot more expensive. The Kyocera DuraForce Pro is our Editors' Choice in this price range thanks to its superior durability and more powerful hardware, but it still costs nearly $100 more, making the X Venture an attractive alternative if you're looking to spend less.

The LG X Venture isn’t a phone for everyone, but it’s also not supposed to be. If you positively need the latest and greatest, this phone likely won’t even be on your radar, but if you’re looking for something that’s well-rounded and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, you might have a winner.

The LG X Charge offers a reasonable level of performance and tons of battery life for the price. If you're a heavy user or a major traveler, the battery can last you longer than most other midrange phones. But as far as Amazon Prime phones go, you have better options. For a little bit more money, the Moto G5 Plus gets you a faster processor, a sharper screen, and a higher-quality metal build (albeit with less battery life). Even if battery is your primary concern, the Moto E4 Plus lasts longer than the X Charge and costs $30 less, plus it has a fingerprint sensor and is compatible with all major US carriers.

The particularly large battery and long battery runtimes are the LG X power3's main selling points. It can offer several improvements compared to its predecessor, but its design remains the same as two years ago. Will this be enough to deserve our recommendation? Find out in our review.

73.33%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
