Jsaux's Steam Machine faceplates are back in stock

Earlier this month, Jsaux began selling its faceplates for the Steam Machine. However, it didn't take long before they went out of stock. Now, Jsaux says they are back in stock and buyers can place their orders ahead of shipping in October.

The faceplates in question are the E-Ink Panel and the Pixel Matrix Panel. The former is the more expensive model and it connects via Bluetooth to the Steam Machine. It features a 5.83-inch always-on E-Ink display that can display custom content such as weather information, clock, calendar, system performance, and playtime. It can also display static images. It has a built-in 500mAh battery that should last up to 22 days on a single charge.

On the other hand, the Pixel Matrix Panel Faceplate has a 7-inch dot-matrix display that connects to the Steam Machine via USB-C and shows real-time information such as system stats, weather, countdown timer, and playtime; and like the E-Ink Panel, it can also display static images as well as GIFs.

Both faceplates have a companion app that allows users to adjust settings and content and install firmware updates. Jsaux adds that the E-Ink Panel also supports open-source code, so that developers can create custom multi-zone layouts.

The JSaux E-Ink Panel Faceplate is pried at $99.99 while the Pixel Matrix Panel is $89.99. Both are available to purchase on the Jsaux store and are expected to begin shipping in early October.

There's still one more faceplate Jsaux has planned for release that isn't available yet. It also has an E-Ink panel, but a colored one. There's no info regarding its availability, but we are certain it will be the most expensive of the three Steam Machine faceplates.
