Deal | Intel's Core Ultra 5 250K Plus drops to $139.99 with two games bundled in

Micro Center is selling the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus for $139.99, a discount from its $249.99 list price. The chip normally carries a $199–$229 MSRP, so the current price undercuts its typical price by a substantial amount. The listing is for the boxed processor only, with no heatsink included. Availability is limited to in-store pickup, with a purchase limit of one per household.

Performance
The 250K Plus is Intel's “Arrow Lake Refresh” processor, built for the LGA 1851 socket and compatible with motherboards based on the B860, H810, and Z890 chipsets. It packs 6 P-cores and 12 E-cores for 18 total cores and 18 threads, with a 4.2 GHz base clock and boost speeds of up to 5.3 GHz. The chip carries 30 MB of L2 cache and 30 MB of L3 Smart Cache, supports up to 256 GB of DDR5-5200 memory, and provides PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 lanes. Compared with the older Core Ultra 5 245K, the 250K Plus adds four E-cores and a faster die-to-die interconnect. Our own testing found that these changes deliver strong performance in rendering and productivity workloads, alongside solid, if uneven, gaming gains.
The purchase also qualifies for Intel's Gamer Days promotion, which runs from August 10 through September 13. Buyers who register a qualifying Intel product receive two upcoming titles: Star Wars: Galactic Racer, releasing October 6, 2026, and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, releasing February 12, 2027.
