Intel added nine Haswell mobile processors to its official price list on Sunday which provide a minor performance improvement over the predecessors launched in the second half of 2013. The list of new processors made available by Intel includes five Intel Core i7 and four Intel Core i5 chips.
These are the specs of all the new Haswell processors that will soon reach end users inside laptops and ultrabooks:
- Core i5-4310M: 2 cores, 4 threads, 2.7 GHz, 3 MB L3 cache, HD 4600 graphics
- Core i5-4310U: 2 cores, 4 threads, 2 GHz, 3 MB L3 cache, HD 4400 graphics
- Core i5-4340M: 2 cores, 4 threads, 2.9 GHz, 3 MB L3 cache, HD 4600 graphics
- Core i5-4360U: 2 cores, 4 threads, 1.5 GHz, 3 MB L3 cache, HD 5000 graphics
- Core i7-4610M: 2 cores, 4 threads, 3 GHz, 4 MB L3 cache, HD 4600 graphics
- Core i7-4810MQ: 4 cores, 8 threads, 2.8 GHz, 6 MB L3 cache, HD 4600 graphics
- Core i7-4860HQ: 4 cores, 8 threads, 2.4 GHz, 6 MB L3 cache, HD 5200 graphics
- Core i7-4910MQ: 4 cores, 8 threads, 2.9 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, HD 4600 graphics
- Core i7-4940MX: 4 cores, 8 threads, 3.1 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, HD 4600 graphics
These new chips are clocked 100 MHz higher than the equivalent models currently on the market - Core i5-4300M, i5-4300U, i5-4330M, i5-4350U, i7-4600M, i7-4800MQ, i7-4850HQ, i7-4900MQ and i7-4930MX - so their performance is expected to be 3.5%-7% higher.
Pricing starts at $225 for the Core i5-4310M and reaches $1096 for the high-end Core i7-4940MX Extreme Edition processor.
