Deal | Intel Core i7-11700K in cheapest deal to date with epic 47% discount

Amazon US has discounted the Intel Core i7-11700K by a hefty amount in its latest round of sales. Arriving over two years ago, the Core i7-11700K is part of the Rocket Lake series, one of the company's final 14 nm architectures. While the Core i7-12700K utilises a newer 10 nm process and four more cores than the Core i7-11700K, the latter only trails the former by approximately 16% in our benchmarks. Incidentally, Amazon US has also reduced the Core i7-12700K, which we have covered in a separate article.

As its name suggests, the Core i7-11700K is an unlocked processor. Additionally, it has eight cores, 16 threads and a 125 W TDP (PL1). Also, the Core i7-11700K contains 4 MB L2 cache, 16 MB L3 cache, utilises the LGA 1200 socket, and is clocked between 3.6 GHz and 5.0 GHz. For reference, the processor features a UHD Graphics Xe 750 iGPU with 32 Execution Units (EUs).

Currently, the Core i7-11700K can be picked up for US$245.53, compared to its US$459.99 list price. For context, Amazon US discounted the Core i7-11700K throughout last year. However, none appear to be as deep as the retailer's current deal, which reduces the processor to 53% of its list price. It could be worth watching out for Amazon Warehouse deals on used copies, though. For example, Amazon US briefly offered a used model for US$217.50 in November and one for US$210.91 in July 2022.
