If you live in the UK, you can now pre-order the Moto Z2 Play
If you live in the United Kingdom and have been anxiously waiting to get your hands on a great mid-range phone, the wait is over. Motorola has finally made the Moto Z2 Play available for pre-order, and it comes with a £379 price tag.
The Moto Z2 Play is the successor to last year's Moto Z Play, and it is an improvement in most respects. It features a 5.5-inch (14 cm) Super AMOLED 1080p display that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor. Memory comes in two flavors: 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, or 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of storage (both expandable via micro SD). The Moto Z2 Play sports a 12-megapixel rear camera but a less impressive 5-megapixel selfie camera.
They're mostly respectable specs, to be sure, but the handset's true standout feature is its support for Moto Mods. These include JBL stereo speakers, a power bank, and even a full-fledged gamepad. Motorola has also announced a new batch of mods, including a 360-degree camera, which may be coming later this year.
The Moto Z2 Play can be pre-ordered from Motorola's official UK website, and if you use the "UKWELCOME10" code during the checkout process (minus the quote marks, of course) you can save £10 on your order. The handset can also be pre-ordered from Amazon and various UK retailers. It is available in two colors: Lunar Gray and Fine Gold.
