Huawei has brought new features to the Watch GT 3, one of its latest smartwatches. Version 2.1.0.180 also addresses a few bugs and is rolling out globally through the Huawei Health app.

Huawei has started rolling out an update to the Watch GT 3, having unveiled the smartwatch last month. For context, the Watch GT 3 arrived alongside the Watch FIT mini. The Watch GT 3 is available as a 42 mm or 46 mm smartwatch, both in black, brown leather and stainless steel finishes.

The update arrives as version 2.1.0.180, with the Watch GT 3 being based on HarmonyOS 2. According to the changelog published by Huawei Blog, Huawei has added a 'Healthy Living' feature to help cultivate healthy lifestyle habits. Specifically, the functionality allows you to set fluid and step targets, among other goals.

Additionally, version 2.1.0.180 enables customisable message replies, which you can set within the Huawei Health app on your smartphone. Unfortunately, this feature only works for SMS and not third-party messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.

Moreover, the update adds app icons and the time to message notifications, while enabling the time in milliseconds during sports activities. Version 2.1.0.180 can be downloaded to your Watch GT 3 through the Huawei Health app. Please note that it is a 260 MB update, so it could take a while to download, transfer and install on your smartwatch.
