CES 2018 | Huawei Honor View 10 and Honor 7X hit the US
Thanks to Huawei, US-based customers will have a few extra interesting choices to take into account this year when deciding which new handset to acquire. The Honor View 10 and the Honor 7X are two of these choices, and both have been introduced to the US public at CES 2018, including the red limited edition of the latter that will only be available for purchase on Valentine's Day.
Priced at the equivalent of around US$460 in China, the Honor View 10 features a 5.99-inch 18:9 FullView display, as well as a full set of high-end features that includes the HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, a 20 MP + 16 MP dual camera setup on the back and a 13 MP selfie shooter, all with Android 8.0 Oreo on top (customized with EMUI 8.0, of course). Its list of features includes an offline AI-accelerated translator, various power saving modes, smart tips, and facial unlock (although you might want to avoid it). We have no information on its US pricing yet, but we expect to see the unlocked Honor View 10 retailing for around US$450, maybe even less.
The Honor 7X is slightly smaller, but its 5.93-inch display has the same 18:9 ratio. The main camera setup combines a 16 MP unit and a 2 MP sensor while the front image snapper has only 8 MP. This US$199 handset has a HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor under the hood, next to 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and runs Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top out of the box.
Those not happy with the blue, gold, and black Honor 7X can wait for Valentine's Day for a chance to grab the red limited edition. Although it will not come with a higher price tag, there will only be 20,000 units available all over the world. These limited edition handsets covered in the color of love will only be sold online in the US, Russia, India and Western Europe (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain).
