Honor Magic7 has an innovative design, both “Dynasty Gold” and “Sky Blue”, showing the beauty of nature. The front has a Honor AI Oasis eye protection screen, which makes the display more colorful with the new round polarized light eye protection and 120Hz full-area low-power LTPO support. The more mature AI intelligent body can solve almost all problems with a single sentence, and realize a more convenient daily life with higher-order intelligence capabilities. Of course, in addition to the exterior design and powerful AI, the performance and battery life of Honor Magic 7 is also very good, and the more silky system performance can make your use more comfortable. If you are also interested in this AI intelligence, and want to bring more convenience in daily use, the AI ability of Honor Magic7 is already very mature, and I believe it can give you a surprise.

Artificial intelligence is high on Honor's priority list, which is why the Magic7 Pro boasts a wide range of new AI-supported functions. Its camera in particular features visible improvements, but Honor hasn't let its guard down in other areas either and is offering one of the best smartphones of 2025.

Honor has crafted an incredibly compelling smartphone in the Magic 7 Pro. The device's hardware is stellar, its camera system is reasonably performant, and its processing power and battery life are both rock solid. I'm less fond of the company's MagicOS Android skin from a UX perspective, but the company's commitment to updates and security patches is a big win. The various AI tools are rather hit or miss, and the lack of Qi2 charging magnets is a real shame, but the package is otherwise excellent. If you happen to live outside the US, then the Honor Magic 7 Pro is a great choice that's worthy of consideration. The device deserves to stand alongside the best flagship Android phones, and in some cases, it even manages to best the competition outright.

If you’re in the market for a smartphone with the latest camera tech, and the latest AI features, as well as (currently) the fastest Qualcomm processor ever made, which runs at a whopping 4.3GHz, then the Honor Magic7 Pro ticks a LOT of boxes, and you can get a lot of very good results from the cameras on the phone. However, if you want a perfect phone, this is not it. Which is a real shame, as I’m a big fan of using telephoto cameras on phones, but I’m left wishing this one was better. I’m hopeful that software updates can fix some of the softness and colour issues I experienced with the telephoto camera on the phone. However, it’s the shiny chrome finish around the camera lens that is a huge issue when you’re taking photos of anything reflective, such as through glass, as these will end up being captured in your photos on bright sunny days, and if you’re using the phone for video work, then you’ll probably want to cover this in a completely black case.

If the predecessor was a wonderful flagship-grade Android smartphone under S$1,500, then the Honor Magic7 Pro repeats that with better AI integration and an updated chipset - a huge leap from before. For the same price (S$1,399) and the same starting storage (512GB), it’s still a steal, especially when more expensive flagship phones start at 256GB at higher prices. While its premium competitors come with better polish, Magic7 Pro doesn’t skimp out on a fantastic experience with a high-quality display panel, stronger audio, and top-tier IP rating protections to match up on hygiene factors. A really good alternative is the OPPO Find X8 Pro (S$1,649, also 512GB), which does everything the Honor Magic7 Pro can do but with better polish, better AI integration, imaging quality, battery life, and a less annoying camera housing design.

To be fair, the Honor Magic7 Pro never got that toasty in games like Genshin Impact, even with the graphics maxed out, and with frame rates set to 60fps. The game was smooth, and looked great on the phone's bright display. However, these settings are quite power-intensive — even the phone's hefty 5,850mAh battery depleted by around 10% in around half an hour. But unless I was gaming for hours, I could easily get a day to 1.5 days of use before having to charge the phone. The good news is that the Honor Magic7 Pro supports 100W wired charging, up from its predecessor's 80W. There's also 80W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging, too. At S$1,399 for the base 12GB + 512GB model (and S$1,699 for the 16GB + 1TB version), the Honor Magic7 Pro costs the same as the previous model.

From the moment you pick up the Honor Magic7 Pro, it’s clear this is a device that means business. Everything about it screams flagship, from the solid, reassuring build quality to the sleek design – the squircle camera module on the back and the lunar grey finish look fantastic. Flip it around, and you’re greeted by a display that’s just as impressive – a sharp, vibrant screen with excellent color reproduction and brightness levels, and thankfully no curve to the screen. When it comes to cameras, the Magic7 Pro adds a standout new 200MP 1/1.4” telephoto sensor, although the other cameras remain the same as last years model. Image quality is good but not class-leading, with some heavy and inconsistent processing. But the real story lies in the AI software.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro is an outstanding phone that impresses in almost every area. The screen is one of the best around, the performance is exceptional, and the battery lasts longer and charges faster than most. The cameras are amazing at times, but the consistency could be better, and the software won't be for everyone. So, it might not be perfect, but the Magic 7 Pro is easily one of the top Android contenders, and well worth your consideration.

Unfortunately for HONOR, we’re spoilt for choice for brilliant smartphones right now, and the Magic 7 Pro’s £1,100/€1,300 asking price isn’t going to undercut them. The affordable OnePlus 13 ($899.99 at OnePlus) has smashed it out of the park for the first time in years, OPPO has returned to Western shores with the superb Find X8 Pro (£1099 at Amazon), and there’s the trusty Pixel 9 Pro XL ($949 at Amazon) that hardly puts a foot wrong and is still the leader when it comes to AI tools that are actually helpful. And, of course, the Galaxy S25 series is just around the corner at this time of writing. Any of these phones would be a solid pick for a top-tier flagship phone, and some beat HONOR when it comes to long-term update policy.

The Magic 7 Pro isn’t going toe-to-toe with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra anytime soon and Honor seems to know that. Its decision to keep the price at £1,099 (around £150 cheaper than we expect the S25 Ultra to cost) is a smart one that positions the Magic 7 Pro closer to entry-level flagship territory. However, its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, robust camera suite and AI trickery should mean it’s in a decent position to compete with Samsung’s range-topper. The upcoming OnePlus 13 is set to employ the Snapdragon 8 Elite for a couple of hundred pounds less than the Magic 7 Pro, so the latter’s photography chops will likely make or break its appeal as an alternative to the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max. I’m currently putting the Honor Magic 7 Pro through its paces so check back soon for my full review to see how the performance, stamina, display quality and cameras stack up to the competition.

With the Honor Magic 7 Pro, the company appears to have focused on improving the aspects that made the previous Magic 6 Pro great, while the line’s problem areas persist. The camera is divisive, in that it’s feature-packed and can take great shots, but inconsistency in image quality and the liberties features like AI Super Zoom take, won’t appeal to every user. Similarly, the phone is built to last from both a design and hardware perspective, with that Snapdragon 8 Elite chip offering plenty of future-proofed use, provided you can get on with MagicOS’ eccentricities.

There are a few scenarios where my recommendations for buying the Honor Magic7 Pro are clear. If you're considering it against the OnePlus 13, then unless you're very concerned about pricing, the Honor likely wins out for you. And if you're thinking about the Magic7 Pro against a Pixel 9 Pro XL, then it'll depend on if you want to spend your 1.1 grand on better hardware now with Honor or smarter software down the line with Google. The problem is if you're also weighing up buying a Samsung flagship phone. The Galaxy S25 Ultra isn't here yet, and while it'll presumably be more expensive again, it could offer upgrades that leave the Magic7 Pro in the dust. And the fact you'll have to order Honor's phone in from overseas in the U.S. makes the Honor less appealing for American buyers, too.

Honor continues its streak of excellent smartphones with the Honor Magic 7 Pro, offering a comfortably flagship experience in almost every area, including design, durability, screen tech, camera performance and power. With that said, this is what many would consider an iterative upgrade with improved durability, a new processor, a slightly better telephoto camera and, rather awkwardly, a smaller battery than both the Magic 6 Pro and the 2025 flagship competition. Instead, it relies mainly on new AI features to separate itself from its predecessor, and that’s a bit of a risk considering key new additions like Super Zoom AI aren’t all they’re cracked up to be in real-world use. Still, the vast majority of consumers would be more than happy with the hardware and software on offer from the Honor Magic 7 Pro – just maybe not Magic 6 Pro owners.

Honor did all the right things with the Magic 7 Pro. The design makes the device better to hold and use, and it should have better durability as well. The high-quality AMOLED panel combined with all the eye protection features Honor included makes the screen on the Magic 7 Pro one of the best around, and there are absolutely no issues with color vibrancy or brightness levels. There's nothing wrong with the hardware either; the phone blazes through demanding games, and while it gets hot during extended gaming sessions, there are no problems with throttling. I didn't have to worry about the battery running out before the end of the day, and while it doesn't last as long as the X200 Pro, it easily manages a day and a bit even with heavy use.

Is the HONOR Magic7 Pro the right phone for you? As usual, that’s something only you can decide. We threw a bunch of information your way so that you can make an informed decision. This is a very compelling phone, it definitely is, with plenty of useful features, great in-hand feel, extremely fast charging, great audio, and so on. However, there’s a ton of competition out there in the market in this sector, and you have to ask yourself what exactly are you looking for in a smartphone. I would say that this phone does excel in some ways, but as I said… it all depends on what you’re looking for/expect.

The Magic7 Pro does a lot of things right - to the high standard you'd expect from a top-shelf model - and it also manages to stand out in a couple of ways worth mentioning. At least two of them can be found in the pill-shaped cutout in the display - the selfie camera and the 3D face scanning bits that you can't get on all that many Androids. The unusually loud speakers are also possibly a selling point. Honor's approach to zoomed in photos starts off promisingly with a sizable sensor, but is a bit of letdown in practice because of the added digital magnification. The smaller battery capacity for Europe-bound units is also a questionable development and one that is preventing the Magic7 Pro from achieving its full potential. In the end, the Magic7 Pro isn't bringing us the level of camera excitement we hoped it would (and the level it just should be able to attain with its hardware). It's also not a significant enough update to the otherwise pretty appealing 2024 model.

One thing that I love about this phone is the face unlock. It is unlike anything I have previously used. HONOR says in its documentation that it uses 3D Face Recognition, and it really shows. When I pick the phone up, it immediately unlocks, so I only have to swipe from the lock screen. I literally cannot fault it. It seems like it does not require you to point your face to the screen at all for it to recognize you and unlock; it is just super fast. The same can be said of the fingerprint sensor; it is quick.

It’s time for some tough questions—and even tougher answers. The Honor Magic 7 Pro is undoubtedly a great Android flagship. It builds upon the success of the Magic 6 Pro, with improvements in the chipset, telephoto camera, and the addition of even more AI features. It also brings some very interesting eye protection technology to the global audience. The flat screen is a welcome upgrade, as is the symmetrical camera housing. Overall, the design of the Magic series has matured into something recognizable, comfortable, and stylish all at once.

The Magic 7 Pro doesn’t leave you wanting for much. It has flagship performance, supermodel good looks, and features you won’t find on many Android rivals, like secure facial recognition. I wish battery life was just a little bit better, and Honor needs to commit to more years of updates if it wants to match Google or Samsung, but you’re otherwise getting an awful lot of phone for your cash. I was blown away by its photographic ability at times, with all three rear lenses really packing in detail and having no trouble capturing moving subjects. I wasn’t so sold on the AI super zoom or how it artificially inserted sun flares, and thought colour consistency between lenses could use some work, but there’s no denying the results can look particularly pleasing.

I wasn’t so sold on the AI super zoom or how it artificially inserted sun flares, and thought colour consistency between lenses could use some work, but there’s no denying the results can look particularly pleasing.

I’ll have a first-look at the new camera features and a more in-depth exploration into the design and build in my upcoming hands-on review, with my final verdict coming soon after that. Be sure to check back in soon to see what I make of the Honor Magic 7 Pro, its new features and, of course, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

The Honor Magic7 Pro comes with a flagship-grade processor, a superb eyesafe LTPO OLED display, superb battery life and an immensely capable rear camera array. Where it gains the edge over the competition is its exceptionally durable chassis that mitigates potential mishaps like drops and nicks. In terms of pricing, our Honor Magic7 Pro review sample with 12GB RAM/512GB storage retails for RM4,599 which represents excellent value seeing its capabilities as well as its free bundled charger. If you need even more storage, the 16GB RAM/ 1TB variant for RM5,199 is also available for slightly more. Of note with the Honor Magic7 Pro that no other competing phone currently has at the moment is its unique AI Deepfake detection algorithm which adds a measure of security for video calls.

The HONOR Magic7 Pro isn’t a huge improvement over its predecessor, but considering how high of a bar it set in the first place, it’s not exactly easy to do so unless your focus is purely on performance. If you’re using the Magic6 Pro, it’s best to wait another year to make the upgrade more worthwhile but if we’re talking from the perspective of a 2025 flagship smartphone, this ticks all the boxes and then some. With its retail price of RM4,599, it’s going to be quite hard to beat.

It is, indeed, too early to say, especially as we don't know the global prices of this flagship yet. The Honor Magic 7 Pro features some upgrades to the camera system, both hardware and software, a larger battery, and faster charging (at least in China). The latest Snapdragon chipset is onboard to challenge other speed champions, and this time around the display is flatter. All this adds up to one very potent and interesting device that we can't wait to test. The most important thing here is pricing and availability. If Honor prices this flagship aggressively outside China, it has the potential to steal even more market share from the big guys.

As with every previous generation of Magic, the Honor Magic7 Pro is still full of sincerity in terms of configuration. Due to space and time constraints, we haven't even commented on the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition that it is equipped with, and the combination of ultrasonic + 3D Deep Sensing Camera reaches a very high level in terms of unlocking efficiency and security. It even supports such detailed features as Honor Surround Subwoofer and Smart Privacy Calling, which are quite excellent in many details of the experience.

The Honor Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design smartphone provides everything that a flagship phone should and then some more. For starters, it has an incredible design and build quality, which lives up to the name of the smartphone. The display is equally impressive with great color reproduction and extremely high brightness. Essentially, you will have an amazing viewing experience on this screen. The phone also has a decent Android chipset and will run every game at the highest graphical fidelity. The battery and charging speeds are also equally impressive. However, the best part of this phone is its camera performance, which is extremely good and can go toe to toe with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. On top of these things, the Honor Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design’s 5G performance is extremely good.

The Honor Magic 7 Lite excels in areas like battery life, durability, and main camera performance, making it a reliable choice for users who value longevity and practicality. However, its dated design, average performance, and limited software support leave it trailing behind competitors in the fiercely competitive mid-range market. If battery life is your top priority, the Magic 7 Lite is a clear winner. But for those seeking a more well-rounded device, there are better options available.

Despite being a generally competent mid-range phone, the Honor Magic 7 Lite is ultimately tricky to recommend. Battery life is excellent and improvements like OIS for the main camera, faster charging speed and upgraded device durability just about account for the extra £50 premium. Even with these improvements, however, the Magic 7 Lite struggles to compete with the now-discounted Google Pixel 8a. It may not have as much storage or last as long, but the Pixel’s general performance, camera quality, display accuracy and software support are all far superior. The Magic 7 Lite puts up a valiant fight but it would have been better off avoiding the price hike and giving the Pixel a wider berth.

The Honor Magic7 Lite’s battery achieved a top score ex aequo in our database thanks to a powerful performance in autonomy. Equipped with a serious 6600 mAh battery, the Honor Magic7 Lite, which is marketed as Honor X9c in some regions of the world, exhibited an impressive battery life of just over three and a half days under moderate usage. The device gained 12 hours of autonomy over the previous model, the Honor Magic6 Lite (5800 mAh), lasting 89 hours without needing to recharge. Across most test cases, particularly in video streaming and gaming, the Honor Magic7 Lite demonstrated exceptional autonomy, also achieving the No. 1 spot in our autonomy sub-score.

Overall, you get a well-made everyday device built to withstand knocks, drops and falls and yet it looks more premium than you might expect at its price point. If you are on a budget, this Honor handset will give you enough bang for your buck.

In a few ways, the Honor Magic 7 Lite doesn’t make any meaningful progress over its predecessor. The entry-grade chipset is unchanged, the firm’s software upgrade commitments still lag behind rival brands, and now the styling feels that much more out of step with the rest of the phone world. It’s not all bad though. Some might argue the rear cameras have gone backwards by dropping the third snapper, but the Magic 6 Lite’s macro lens was a token inclusion at best, and adding optical image stabilisation has upped the Magic 7 Lite’s night-time performance among affordable rivals. This is also a much tougher handset, which will be great news for accident-prone shoppers. Ultimately you’ll buy the Magic 7 Lite for its colossal battery; there’s simply no other affordable option out there with such a high capacity. If you’re after a long-lasting handset that doesn’t look like an actual brick, you’ll be able to forgive the limited generational upgrades everywhere else.

At a price that rests between 200-300 USD (when converted), the Honor Magic 7 Lite’s impressive design and build quality, good-looking display, capable battery and generally smooth performance make for a solid everyday smartphone. Folks looking to save a bit of cash will find a lot to love about the Magic 7 Lite, as long as they keep their expectations in check. On the other hand the low-end chipset, pre-installed apps and overall camera performance might leave you wanting a little more, and people who prioritize these areas will have to spend a bit more to get the device they want. At the end of the day though it’s a solid phone that plays it safe without attempting to punch higher than its weight class.
