Honor Magic concept phone with quad-curved-display to arrive Dec. 16th
Yesterday Huawei released a teaser announcing something for today but apparently the teaser was just a teaser for yet another teaser. At least now we know that the big M in yesterday's poster is supposed to stand for Magic, apparently the name of the Huawei concept phone that Honor will release next week on December 16th according to new information revealed by today's teaser GIF (see below).
Like Sharp with the Corner R and Xiaomi with the Mix before, Huawei is set to unveil an almost bezel-less concept phone but Huawei is said to take things even further by creating a quad-curved-display meaning all four sides of the display will be bezel-less and curved. According to rumors that means that even front camera and speaker will be gone and users will need some sort of companion device as a sidekick.
The Magic phone is also expected to feature one of the new Huawei batteries, that will charge faster and be more resistant to heat. Unless there are more leaks this week, we will know more about the new Honor concept phone at the end of next week on December 16th. In the meantime a user on Weibo revealed a picture that may or may not be a render of the Honor Magic phone. However, we can still see borders around the content on that render even if all four sides are curved.
