Herman Miller launches Coyl gaming desk with height adjustment, integrated power strip, and peg board

Herman Miller, the brand known for its premium ergonomic chairs, has launched another “gaming desk” called the Coyl. It is a cheaper alternative (at base price) to the older and non-motorized Motia gaming desk, but it is still quite expensive. The Coyl has a few customization options and brings about an ecosystem of accessories that can be bundled with or purchased separately.
Herman Miller Coyl Gaming Desk features

Firstly, there is only one size for the Coyl desk, and that’s 60 x 28.5 inches. What’s unique about the desk is the rotary dial for height adjustment that has tactile feedback and the red coiled power cable for the included power strip. As interesting as it looks, it doesn’t seem to have memory settings for height adjustment, which is a staple with most other standing desks. The height can be adjusted between 22.5 inches and 48.5 inches.
The Coyl desk is offered in four finish options for the laminate tabletop: Clear on Ash, Studio White, Medium Matte Walnut, and Ultra Black. There are two color options for the powder-coated steel legs as well – black and white – but you cannot mix and match the top and the legs. The weight capacity is 90 kg.
As for the accessories, Herman Miller offers a full-length cable trough, a perforated shroud for adding holders and stands, and an accessory bundle that includes mounts for a controller and phone, a planter, a display shelf, and cable clips.
Herman Miller Coyl Gaming Desk price and availability

The starting price for the Coyl gaming desk is $1,095. With the cable trough, the price goes up to $1,475. Weirdly, the perforated shroud cannot be purchased without the cable trough accessory, so this bundle goes up to $1,635. With the full accessory bundle, the total cost becomes $1,825, and this includes the cable trough and the shroud. Coyl is available via the Herman Miller website.
