Teaser
HTC confirmed today that the One M9 will be officially introduced on March 1st at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. The smartphone is rumored to come with a 5-inch fullHD display, a Snapdragon 810 chip, and a 20.7MP primary camera.

A few weeks ago, Taiwanese manufacturer HTC started sending out invitations to the "Utopia" Press Event. Scheduled for March 1st at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, the event was often speculated to be the context for the unveiling of a new HTC flagship smartphone, previously referred to as the One M9. Today the speculation has finally come to a close, as the manufacturer confirmed that the "new HTC One" will be officially introduced on March 1st.

HTC made the announcement on Twitter, and the company also started advertising the new flagship during the recent rounds of UEFA Champions League.

According to numerous rumors and leaks, the new HTC One M9 will feature a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch Full HD display, and a new 20.7MP primary camera. On the software side, the smartphone will most likely run Android 5.0 Lollipop, overlaid with a new version of HTC Sense.

Some rumors suggest that the One M9 will be joined on stage by a larger One M9 Plus version. Other sources say that the Taiwanese manufacturer might also unveil its first smartwatch at the event. Also on March 1st in Barcelona at MWC 2015, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
