According to a report recently published by a Portuguese tech blog, Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is planning to release a phablet version of its upcoming flagship smartphone. While the HTC One M8 successor is rumored to be called the HTC Hima, the phablet version is said to be called the HTC Hima Ace Plus.
According to the sources, the Hima Ace Plus will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset (2.3GHz octa-core CPU), 3GB of RAM, and a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440 by 2560 pixels. Other rumored specs include a pair of Boomsound stereo speakers, a 20MP primary camera, a 4MP Ultrapixel secondary camera, and a 3000mAh battery. On the software side, the Hima Ace Plus is expected to come with Android 5.0 Lollipop overlaid with HTC Sense 7.0.
The report also claims that the Hima Ace Plus will come with an embedded fingerprint scanner. This woulnd't be the first HTC phablet to come with a fingerpint reader. The HTC One Max, a 5.9-inch version of the One M7 launched with a fingerprint reader back in October 2013, although the performance of the sensor was a bit unstable.
HTC is expected to launch the Hima Ace Plus towards in August or September. Since we're a
