HP offering App Credit and instant rebates on TouchPad

Been thinking of purchasing a TouchPad, but not too enthused by the price? If so then HP might be able to help out with their latest cuts and special offers.

After starting things off with a $50 mail-in-rebate for previous webOS phone owners, HP is now also offering App Credit and instant rebates. For those looking to purchase a new TouchPad, HP has cut $100 off the price tag and the 16GB and 32GB version of the tablet have now become $400 and $500 respectively. Furthermore, Staples has decided to match HP’s offers and cut out another 100 bucks; however, both offers are only valid till the end of today so you’ll probably want to hurry.

On the other hand, if you’ve already purchased a TouchPad then HP hasn’t left you out of the fun. For users that purchased the tablet from its launch date on July 1^st up to the 4^th of August, the company is offering $50 in credit for the device’s App Catalog. While the exact specifics still haven’t popped up, TouchPad owners should be receiving an e-mail with more details within the upcoming week.

The TouchPad is HP’s first venture into the tablet market, and features the company’s own proprietary webOS. The device comes with a 9.7” display with a 1024x768 pixel resolution, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor and a front-facing 1.3MP camera.
