Reviews for the HP ProBook 450 G10

HP ProBook 450 G10 review – only a refresh but still one of the best
Source: Laptop Media English
The HP ProBook 450 G10 still remains one of the best office-grade laptops you can get. Its configuration options are almost limitless with a variety of processors, memory and storage availability, and even a “gaming” GPU. Add to that the numerous displays you can choose from, as well as the LTE option, plus the IR face recognition scanner, and the fingerprint reader which come to selected models. Ultimately, the core that you can build this machine upon is really good. Its cooling is not the best, but it is really quiet and prioritizes comfort while delivering a decent amount of performance. HP ProBook 450 G10’s IPS panel in the configuration we got has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a good contrast ratio.

HP ProBook 450 G10

The HP ProBook 450 G10 positions itself as a dependable and secure workhorse designed for business professionals on the go.  It boasts a balance of performance, durability, and security features, all wrapped in a professional and portable design. The ProBook 450 G10 is powered by the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors, offering choices between i3, i5, and i7 options. These processors deliver efficient performance for everyday business tasks such as email, document editing, web browsing, and video conferencing. Users who require more processing power for demanding applications like data analysis or complex spreadsheets might consider the higher-end i7 configurations. The laptop comes equipped with 8GB or 16GB of DDR4 RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and background app management. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB PCIe NVMe SSDs, providing ample space for business files and applications. Faster boot times, application loading, and file transfers contribute to an overall efficient workflow. The HP ProBook 450 G10 prioritizes durability, making it a reliable companion for business travel. It has undergone MIL-STD 810H testing, a rigorous military standard that simulates real-world conditions like extreme temperatures, dust, drops, and vibrations. This ensures the laptop can withstand everyday bumps and knocks without compromising performance. Security is another crucial aspect for business users. The ProBook 450 G10 comes equipped with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip to encrypt sensitive data and fingerprint reader for secure login. Additionally, HP offers a suite of security features through HP Wolf Security, helping to safeguard data and privacy.

The ProBook 450 G10 features a 15.6-inch display with either a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution or an anti-glare HD (1366 x 768 pixels) resolution. While the Full HD option offers sharper visuals, the anti-glare HD option might be preferable for users who work in brightly lit environments. The display delivers adequate brightness and viewing angles for everyday business tasks. The laptop maintains a balance between portability and screen size. It weighs around 1.79 kg (depending on configuration) and boasts a compact design, making it easy to carry around the office or on business trips. Battery life is another strong point for the ProBook 450 G10. HP claims up to 11 hours of battery life, which should comfortably last through a workday on a single charge. The ProBook 450 G10 offers a comprehensive set of connectivity options. It features multiple USB-A ports, an HDMI port for connecting to external displays, and a Thunderbolt 4 port for high-speed data transfer, external display connection, and even device charging. Wi-Fi 6 ensures a fast and stable wireless connection, crucial for seamless online collaboration and cloud access. The HP ProBook 450 G10 emerges as a compelling option for business professionals seeking a reliable and secure workhorse. It offers a good balance of performance, durability, and security features at a competitive price point. The variety of processor, RAM, and storage options allows for customization based on individual needs.

15.60":

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
