HP Pavilion has been around for ages, the fact that HP keeps updating this line shows that it’s one of the most reliable Windows-based laptop brand in the market. This 15″ laptop is no exception, it’s an extremely lightweight notebook that comes with top specifications. The dual-channel 16GB of RAM (not 8GB), and the 11th Generation Intel i7 chip (not 10th Gen nor i5 CPU) make this notebook capable to get things done and more, like video editing and gaming. So yes, it is an excellent workstation, a very compact one and got a green light. The included standard size HDMI port and SD card slot are good additions since these features are getting rare and rare for a thin and sleek laptop like this.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

The i7 is designed for use in ultra-light (yet actively cooled) laptops; it is manufactured on Intel's third-gen 10 nm process marketed as SuperFin. The CPU cores run at 2.8 GHz (base clock speed @ 28 W TDP) to 4.7 GHz (single-core Boost frequency). This i7 features the 96 EU Intel Iris Xe G7 iGPU; it was the second-fastest CPU of TGL-UP3 line-up when Intel initially launched the series in 2020.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

In 2023, HP had an approximate market share of 22% of global PC sales, making it number 2 after Lenovo.
99%: This model is obviously considered exceptional by the testers. There are almost no laptops that are rated this well. If the reviews or the sources that give these ratings are to be taken seriously, then it is a very clear buy recommendation. Unfortunately, sometimes top scores are also squandered.
