100% HP Pavilion 14 review: A premium notebook at a budget price
Source: Expert Reviews English
As a general-purpose laptop, the HP Pavilion 14 takes some beating at this price. It looks and feels like it should cost more and has some features that I genuinely didn’t expect to find given the price, such as a quality sound system, a touchscreen, the use of SuperSpeed USB ports across the board and support for Windows Hello biometrics. Granted, the screen could be of higher quality and a keyboard backlight is always nice to have, but getting bitter and twisted about things like that seems churlish given that we’re talking about a £650 laptop here. In value for money terms, the Pavilion 14 is positively outstanding.

I am actually a little confused as to why I like this laptop so much. It’s not good for editing video, or photos, or any of the things I usually do on my laptop. Still, I really like the HP Pavilion 14t. It’s sleek, nicely designed, gets a lot of day-to-day things done, and is super affordable at just $499. You also have many upgrade options if you’re willing to fork out some more dough.

HP Pavilion 14-dv0511sa

The HP Pavilion range has long been a popular option for consumers, offering a combination of performance and style at affordable prices. The latest to join this range has to be the rather good-looking HP Pavilion 14. In terms of its design, the aluminium chassis in frosted silver gives it elegance, despite the mid-range price. The device carries a polished look for office use, without the awful chunkiness found on some business laptops, such as the (otherwise excellent) Acer Aspire 3. This is a laptop which can double up for both personal and professional use. While there are many lighter laptops out there, the Pavilion 14 is quite light at 1.46kg, making it rather compact. The lightweight gives the device an excellent portability. As far as its keyboard is concerned, this laptop has been equipped with a space-efficient keyboard without the numeric pad. Despite the compact layout of the laptop, there is sufficient breathing room between the keys. However, the keys are quite low profile without much travel, making it require a bit more effort when typing. On the other hand, the trackpad is generously sized and comfortable to use with good palm rejection. The pad accepts both physical clicks, as well as gestures such as two-finger scrolling and right-clicking.
In terms of its display, the HP Pavilion 14 has been incorporated with a 14-inches IPS anti-glare Full-HD (1920 x 1080) touchscreen display. Overall, it looks unashamedly plastic, especially with the dull black bezels. However, the bezels are not too chunky. In addition, there is also a 720p webcam at the top of the display, with an integrated dual array microphone. While the image quality of the webcam is not particularly stunning, it is quite sufficient for day-to-day video calls. Apart from that, it is worth mentioning that the display reaches a maximum brightness of 238nits. As for its performance, the Pavilion 14 carries an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor (the latest 11th-gen) along with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The laptop caters for a smooth day-to-day performance, making it a solid option for professionals working from home or in need of an affordable laptop for hotdesking. In terms of its connectivity, the device includes two USB 3.0 ports and a USB-C port that supports power delivery,10GBps transfer rates, and DisplayPort 1.4 connections. There is also an HDMI 2.0 connection for a standard display connection. In addition, there is a micro-SD card reader, a 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo, and Bluetooth 5 support.
As for its battery, the Pavilion 14 gets a decent battery with 7 hours and 21 minutes running time. While this might not be the worst battery time on a budget laptop, there are plenty of laptops which can go a lot longer, if this is an important area. Overall, it is a great laptop to be explored, depending on the need and preference of the user.

80% HP Pavilion 14 review: is this popular mid-range laptop a good buy?
Source: T3 English
If you’re looking for a mid-range Windows laptop, should you go for the HP Pavilion 14? In truth, there’s no one, standout reason to choose this laptop. But there are lots of little reasons that add up to a very convincing proposition. The most obvious reason is the stylish, ultralight design. That might sound superficial, but if you want something that will look impressive in a meeting, for instance, then this will do it. Another is the delightful HD display which, when teamed with the superior Bang & Olufsen audio, makes this is a great choice as an entertainment centre. Connectivity is broad, which means that you can team it with a wide variety of monitors, TV, headphones, universal chargers and more. Battery life is decent. And on the whole, the Pavilion 14 does an good job of letting you use Windows 10, without holding things up with bloatware or annoying quirks. In short, this is an attractive, efficient laptop that gets out of its own way, and lets you do what you want to do. And for the price, you can’t say fairer than that.

80% HP Pavilion 14 (2021) review
Source: Tech Advisor English
The HP Pavilion 14 is a solid, affordable laptop for home or office use that can handle most things you throw at it – whether that's video calls, web browsing and social media, music streaming, or light photo editing. Its only drawback is the display may be a bit too dim for some, and the touch-screen isn’t wholly necessary. Yet, the device is portable and compact, making it ideal for those hotdesking or partially working from home. HDMI and DisplayPort 1.4 support mean you can quickly connect the laptop up to one or more monitors, and a fingerprint reader offers added security. The Pavilion 14 is on the pricier side of budget laptops, but this all-rounded will be money well spent. And there are more powerful models if you need a Core i5 or a larger SSD.

HP Pavilion 14 (14-dv0000) review – getting the Pavilion series on the right track
Source: Laptop Media English
So, if we were to think of the best feature of the HP Pavilion 14 (14-dv0000), it would definitely be the keyboard. It is really comfortable, and in our case – there was a backlight. Actually, this notebook is pretty feature-packed, as there is Wi-Fi 6 support, as well as a fingerprint reader on board. Also, there is an HD camera, so using the device for school is effortless, but obviously, the camera quality is not great, so don’t expect miracles from the tiny sensor.

HP Pavilion 14-dv0357ng

HP's Pavilion range has long been a popular option for consumers as it offers a combination of performance and style at affordable prices. The latest to join this product line is the HP Pavilion 14 (2021). As far as its design is concerned, this laptop comes in a plastic chassis with a soft premium finish. It is available in white, silver and tranquil pink colour. As for its keyboard, the backlit keys are well spaced and are accompanied by a large trackpad, making it convenient to type on. However, there tends to be a slight flex in the laptop keyboard, which is barely noticeable and does not hamper the typing experience. Overall, the HP Pavilion is sleek at 1.7 cm width and lightweight at 1.4kg. Despite the sleek form factor, HP has added ample ports which includes a USB Type C port, two USB Type-A ports, a HDMI port, a microSD card reader along with the audio jack. There is also a fingerprint scanner for biometric login and verification.

In terms of its performance, this device has been incorporated with the 11th Gen Intel Core i5 - 1135G7 processor paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. As for its GPU, the HP pavilion 14 carries the Intel Iris Xe graphics. Overall, this device scored 3661on PCMark 10, which falls a little short of gaming laptops but is fairly good for this home-series laptop. In addition, it handled daily workloads including multiple Chrome tabs, image and video editing, heavy downloads, streaming videos and long hours of video conferencing without any hiccups, with Intel's latest 11th Gen processors and Iris Xe integrated graphics.

Apart from that, it is worth noting that the built-in Alexa feature comes in handy for fetching information and controlling paired smart devices. In addition, the HP QuickDrop feature can be used to share files between iPhone and this laptop wirelessly. In a nutshell, the Pavilion 14 is good at casual gaming titles such as Dota 2, Dead or Alive, as there were no freezing issues. However, heavy titles such as GTA V can impact the performance. As for its display, this model has been equipped with a bright 14-inch full HD display. However, the 178-degree wide viewing angle might work for some, especially while streaming videos but not for all though. As some might not like their screen to be peeped on. It is also worth mentioning that the screen is glare-free and is perfectly fine for long hours of usage. In terms of its sound, the B&O sound is rather loud and clear. As the speaker grills are placed towards the bottom corners of the laptop, it tends to make the sound reflect off the table. On the other hand, the noise cancellation feature comes in handy during conference calls as it helps to reduce the background noise. As far as its battery is concerned, the HP Pavilion 14 (2021) is backed up with a 43Wh Li-ion battery that can last a little over 6 hours on a charge. In a nutshell, it is a great working laptop to be considered.

80% HP Pavilion 14 (2022) Review: Build Your Own Budget Laptop
Source: CNet English
Overall, HP put together a solid budget-friendly laptop with the Pavilion 14. There are a couple of relatively minor shortcomings. Battery life isn't great. It hit 6 hours, 51 minutes on our streaming video rundown test with the display at 50% brightness and volume through earbuds at 50%. Also, there is flex in the lid and keyboard deck. It's particularly noticeable in the center of the keyboard and when you press on the touchpad. It just makes this nice-looking laptop feel cheaper. Otherwise, given its price, the HP Pavilion 14 is a highly likable laptop. If longer battery life is important and you don't mind going smaller, strongly consider the Pavilion Aero 13. It's also well priced and lasted for more than 10 hours in our tests, plus it only weighs 2 pounds. Outside of HP, consider the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i. This two-in-one is slightly more expensive but outperformed the Pavilion 14, has longer battery life and has features like a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, an SD card reader, a 1080p webcam with a privacy shutter and a fingerprint reader.
