Apart from the new convertible PCs, HP is also introducing a new monitor at CES. The new OMEN X 35 is supposed to attract enthusiast gamers.

HP is not only announcing new PCs today, the second biggest PC manufacturer is also introducing new screens. The highlight for gamers: The new OMEN X 35 monitor. This high-end monitor is mainly supposed to attract enthusiasts, which can be seen in the price: 1,300 Euro is the starting price of the OMEN X 35.

For all this money, the buyer gets a high-end monitor for gaming: The 35" 21:9 screen is curved and it sports very small bezels, a trend in the monitor-segment right now. The LC-display has a UWQHD resolution (3,440 x 1,440) and it is based on IPS technology. HP rates the contrast with 2,500:1.

As a gaming-display, the OMEN X 35 supports Nvidia G-Sync, it also has a refresh-rate of 100 Hz and 3ms of response time. Also, HP recognizes that most gamers use headsets. Thats why HP has integrated a headset-hook at the side of the OMEN monitor. For the connection to PCs and laptops, the OMEN X 35 has DisplayPort as well as HDMI.

In Europe, the new OMEN X 35 will be available in April.
