Slow and Steady. The HP 15-BW077AX is an entry-level laptop from HP with AMD's newest A9 APU. Despite its young age, the CPU feels years behind the competition and the notebook as a whole offers very little for prospective consumers.

HP 15-bw059ns
The HP 15-bw059ns is a super-balanced computer in terms of quality, performance, and price that will be every user’s great ally to carry out their daily tasks without fail. It integrates an AMD processor with optimal performance, a 15-inch panel with HD resolution, 1 TB (1000 GB) of storage, autonomy of up to 5 hours, and a host of connectivity options. The laptop is composed of an elegant and sober finish in jet black, enjoying a unique appeal provided by a plastic construction equipped with the characteristic textured patterns that HP's laptops are adorned with. It measures 38 x 25.38 x 2.38 cm and its net weight (battery included) is 2.1 kg, which are the company’s standard figures when manufacturing its low-cost models. As for the display, it is a 15.6-inch panel with a standard HD resolution of only 1366 x 768 pixels and a screen ratio of 16:9. While it is not the highest resolution available on laptops, it will be enough to perform daily tasks and enjoy casual multimedia entertainment without noticing much of a difference. One of its strengths is the integrated WLED backlight technology, which has been developed exclusively for laptops of this company. Other advantages of the display include an optimal relationship between brightness, contrasts, and colors.
HP has opted for an AMD low-power processor, the AMD A4-9120. This model has 2 cores running at a clock frequency of up to 3.60 GHz, supported by a discrete RAM (DDR4) of 4 GB. Due to the absence of dedicated graphics, the laptop has the AMD Radeon R3 controller already integrated into the processor, which can reach a frequency of up to 686 MHz. In terms of storage capacity, the new HP 15-bw059ns benefits users with a capacity of 1 TB built into a mechanical hard drive running at 5400 rpm. This is enough space to store all contents and personal files, including documents, photos, videos, songs, etc. Although its QWERTY keyboard does not have backlighting, it will guarantee a solid and pleasant writing experience thanks to its integrated chiclet keys. For connectivity, the company has surprised users pleasantly, because it has gathered in one place all the connections and ports a user will need for day-to-day use, starting with the optical DVD unit, which will be very useful for playing and recording content stored on DVDs and CDs. There are three USB inputs (two of them USB 3.1), an HDMI video output compatible with large TVs and monitors, a multi-format SD-card reader, the typical 3.5-mm audio connector, as well as a 0.3 MP webcam with a microphone for video calls.

Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
AMD Radeon R5 (Stoney Ridge): Integrated graphics adapter of some AMD-A dual-core APUs ("Stoney Ridge"). Based on the GCN architecture, implements 192 shader units and runs at up to 800 MHz. The performance can vary heavily depending on the TDP (15-25 Watts for the whole chip)
AMD Radeon R4 (Stoney Ridge): Integrated graphics adapter of some AMD-A dual-core APUs ("Stoney Ridge"). Based on the GCN architecture, implements 192 shader units and runs at up to 600 MHz depending on the model. The performance can vary heavily depending on the TDP (10-15 Watts for the whole chip).
AMD Radeon R3 (Mullins/Beema):
Integrated GPU on select AMD Beema or Mullins APUs. Based on the GCN architecture with 128 shader units and a core clock of 350 - 600 MHz.
AMD Radeon R2 (Stoney Ridge): Integrated graphics adapter of some AMD-E2 APUs ("Stoney Ridge"). Based on the GCN architecture, implements 128 shader units and runs at up to 600 MHz depending on the model. The performance can vary heavily depending on the TDP (10-15 Watts for the whole chip).
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
AMD Radeon R2 (Mullins/Beema/Carrizo-L):
Integrated GPU on select AMD Beema or Mullins APUs. Based on the GCN architecture with 128 shader units and a core clock of 300 - 500 MHz.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
AMD Radeon 530: Entry class dedicated graphics card with 320 or 384 shaders (depending on the used chip) and DDR3 or GDDR5 graphics memory (both with a 64 Bit bus). Both chips are used for a few years, e.g. even starting with the Radeon 8590M (28nm GCN).
