The pros and cons of Google's Glass may have been thoroughly dissected by most folks, yet the device still remains quite difficult to acquire. In the past, Google has made it available at their I/O conference and through a selection of people who tweeted the #ifihadglass hashtag, and now almost everybody has a shot at one.
According to the Google Glass page on Google+, adults in the United States can purchase the device during a special event on April 15th, beginning at 6AM Pacific Time. The number of devices is limited, with no word on the exact number, and will be served on a first-come basis for the usual price of $1,500.
This news follows some recent publicity for Google Glass, where the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston announced an expansion of its use after a successful trial. As for the rest of the U.S., April 15th is now the best shot at getting a Google Glass, though we can't imagine they'll last for more than a few minutes.
