Google opening up Glass program to people in the US
Google recently hosted a limited sales event for their Google Glass, giving interested parties the opportunity to purchase a Glass during a one-day sale. That event resulted in an overwhelming response according to Google, and they are now opening up their program to the public.
In a post on Google+, the company announced that they will be allowing anybody to purchase a Google Glass, though they'll have to first reside in the United States. Availability will also be pending inventory of the glasses and they will retail for the usual price of $1,500.
Unfortunately, this still isn't the public launch of Glass, and Google is making it clear that this remains part of their Explorer Program. Even then, many people would love to get their hands on the wearable glasses despite the high price and beta status, and this is one step closer to a final product.
