The Asus TUF Gaming A18 eschews mobility for a gigantic display.

While most gaming laptops stay within the 15- to 17-inch range, Asus decided to go one size bigger with its TUF Gaming A18 laptop, delivering a true desktop replacement in every sense.

If you enjoy watching movies or playing video games on a large screen, the Asus TUF Gaming A18 might be an excellent option for you. The 18-inch model provides ample screen real estate to bring out the full potential of media content. Despite its size, the laptop weighs only around 2.7 kg (5.95 lb) – lighter than many of its competitors.

Asus also deserves credit for the laptop’s impressive battery life. In our Wi-Fi test, with screen brightness adjusted to 150 nits, the A18 lasted about 13 hours, placing it at the top of our comparison (see our in-depth review). It achieves this long battery life through a combination of moderate power consumption and a beefy 90 Wh battery. Other highlights include the generously sized touchpad and the comfortable palm rest.

One small caveat is the absence of a card reader despite the laptop’s hefty build. Overall, our criticisms of this 18-inch powerhouse are fairly minor, and we do recommend it if you are in the market for a large laptop. Head over to our full review for more details.
