Garmin releases major update to latest flagship smartwatches with dozens of new features and improvements

Garmin has released a major update to its latest batch of flagship smartwatches. To recap, the company introduced System Software 6.73 for the Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro (curr. $1,299 on Amazon) on October 24. Shortly beforehand, Garmin complemented the Fenix 9 series with Enduro 4 counterparts.

Now, it has started offering Beta Version 7.13 to the Enduro 4, as well as to the Fenix 9 family. Erroneously referred to as v24.14 in a forum post, Beta Version 7.13 is the first v7.xx firmware that Garmin has offered publicly. As such, the company has included a lengthy changelog spanning well over two dozen improvements.

Specifically, Garmin speaks of 35 changes in its forum post. Of those, 5 are new features, including the addition of a timeout setting for Garmin's flashlight quick control. Moreover, Beta Version 7.13 introduces distance editing for Indoor Cycling and XC Ski Indoor Activity Profiles.

On top of that, the new update contains 25 bug fixes. Please note that Beta Version 7.13 disables Dive and ECG features. Garmin has not confirmed when v7.xx development will transition to its stable software channel, either. The full changelog for Beta Version 7.13 is as follows:
