Amazon has dropped the price of the Garmin Quatix 7 Standard Edition marine smartwatch to its lowest ever after a 43% discount off the MSRP of $599.99. This sale follows this week's announcement of the Garmin Quatix 8.
The Garmin Quatix 7 marine smartwatch launched in 2022 with a wide range of features targeting sailors, including remote boat piloting, ocean maps, and fish forecasting. Besides marine features, the Quatix 7 comes with all the expected features of a regular Garmin smartwatch, such as downloadable offline worldwide maps, a complete selection of health tracking features including gaming activities, contactless Garmin Pay, and sports trackers for golf, running, hiking, and more.
The watch comes with a 1.3-inch, 260 x 260-pixel display protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 cover, a stainless steel body, and a titanium back. The 79 g (2.8 oz.) watch comes with a battery rated for up to 18 days of use during non-GPS use and up to 40 hours of use when all satellite navigation systems are active.
It does not come with the AMOLED display of the higher-end Quatix 7 models, nor the inReach emergency satellite communications capabilities of the Quatix 8 Pro, so sailors using this model will have to use a separate emergency beacon.
