Galaxy Tab 7 successor reportedly coming this Fall

Teaser
New Galaxy Tab could come with dual-core Exynos CPU and run Android Gingerbread

The second generation Galaxy Tab 7 could be right around the corner for a Q3 or Q4 2011 release.

According to the Italian blog Samsung HD Blog, the rumored tablet would be packing more up-to-date internal hardware in order to compete in the now crowded tablet market. This includes the Samsung-made 1.2GHz Exynos processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD, an IPS display and Android Gingerbread with Samsung’s proprietary Touch Wiz 4.0 interface. Perhaps unsurprisingly, these specs are somewhat similar to the much lauded Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, which also sports a 1.2GHz Exynos CPU with Touch Wiz 4.0.

Ever since the original Galaxy Tab 7 launched in the U.S., the Galaxy Tab lineup has expanded to include 8.9-inch and 10.1-inch models. If an updated 7-inch model comes to fruition, Samsung would have all bases covered in terms of tablet size for the rest of the year.
