The Galaxy Tab 10.1 will reach US sporting Android 3.1, unlike in Europe

The new Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes to US with Android 3.1, and hopefully with lots of compatible apps

Samsung plans to make the Galaxy Tab 10.1 available in the US with Google’s latest Android update, Android 3.1 – as reported by Electronista. This is unlike in Europe where mostly the device will run on Android 3.0 by default. We cannot deny a subsequent updating to 3.1 but at this moment places like Germany will have to content with 3.0 aka Gingerbread. The US official page has also been updated with this information.

Although the tablet will come with Android 3.1, Samsung might top it up with its own TouchWiz interface on top of the stock Android. The new TouchWiz interface promises to bring in features like continuously refreshed real-time content and rich widgets, the quick app tray like that in Macs and an enhanced browser.
