Galaxy S27 Ultra or Oppo Find X10 Ultra: "Best-ever 200MP sensor" specs tipped - LOFIC, 1/1.2-inch HPA by Samsung

Not one but two renowned tipsters have dropped a bombshell leak regarding what might be the most advanced 200MP camera in any phone in 2027.
The insiders claim Samsung’s upcoming 200MP HPA sensor will be the "strongest" main camera on the market. However, while the South Korean giant is the one making the sensor, it is the Oppo Find X10 Ultra (and not the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra) that is rumored to use the top-tier snapper.
The HPA is supposed to feature a massive 1/1.12-inch sensor, which is not quite 1-inch but pretty close. More importantly, Samsung is said to integrate LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology, which is something we’ve seen in a number of top Android flagships coming from China.
Samsung's own Galaxy S27 Ultra flagship to miss out on super-advanced HPA sensor; Oppo Find X10 Ultra to debut best-ever 200MP camera instead
LOFIC is a hardware-level advancement, which allows the sensor to manage extreme highlights and deep shadows simultaneously, drastically reducing clipped whites and crushed blacks before software processing even begins.
Although the Galaxy S27 Ultra is currently expected to miss out on this specific HPA/LOFIC upgrade, it might get upgraded with a different 200MP, 1/1.2-inch sensor, likely to lack the advanced dynamic range capabilities of the HPA.
In related news, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is now expected to drop the tiny 3x sensor from the Galaxy S26 Ultra in favor for in-sensor zoom and a more streamlined three-camera array, where more space and resources are allocated to the main, ultra-wide, and 5x zoom snappers.
