Two of Samsung's biggest product launches of the year were the Galaxy Note 3 phablet and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch on September 4th. Both devices created a lot of hype, but availability details were rather scarce beyond an announcement that a large international rollout would start on September 25th.
Now there's good news for those living in North America who are dying to get their hands on these new gadgets – pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 3 are already open from both AT&T and Verizon in the United States. AT&T expects to start shipping the Note 3 as early as October 1st with the Gear to follow a few weeks later, while Verizon promises to ship either just the phone or the watch bundled with the phone by October 10th.
Those living North of the border won't have a long wait either – Engadget has recently reported that Telus will be offering both the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear as of October 4th.
AT&T has listed the Note 3 for US$299.99 on a two year contract. Verizon is matching their price and offering a Note 3/Gear bundle for US599.98 also on a two year contract. Telus has not yet announced pricing for either device.
