GMKtec teases new AMD-powered gaming mini PC with OCuLink port

GMKtec has showcased a new mini PC at the AMD AI Developer Day 2026 event that took place in China, the EVO-X3. The company shared only one picture of the system, and it didn't give out much. However, in the official blog, the brand teased that it will be an upgraded version of the EVO-X2.
The GMK EVO-X2 launched as one of the first mini PCs with the top-end AMD Strix Point APU, the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which brought the Radeon 8060S iGPU. This integrated GPU is currently the best-performing iGPU, and we found it to match the gaming performance of the Nvidia RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.
In the blog post, the company didn't confirm the APU that will be powering the EVO-X3, but it could be the Ryzen AI Max+ 495, which is expected to bring a small yet notable performance boost.
GMKtec has, however, confirmed that the EVO-X3 will feature an OCuLink port, which isn't present in the current-gen EVO-X2 mini PC (BOSGAME eGPU curr. $689.99 on Amazon). The company has also confirmed that there will be "high-speed" USB4 ports, WiFi 7, and dual PCIe 4.0 slots for expanded storage support.
As it appears in the photo, the EVO-X3 will see a redesign, coming with a comparatively larger chassis than the EVO-X2. There's no word on the pricing either, but it's worth noting that the current-gen Ryzen AI Max+ 395 mini PCs are quite expensive, and GMKtec itself has increased the price of the EVO-X2 after the global launch.
