Fujifilm has introduced the flagship X-T4 mirrorless camera in India. The X-T4 comes with faster autofocus, in-body image stabilization (IBIS), an Eterna Bleach Bypass film simulation mode, a new shutter mechanism that allows for 15 fps bursts, and a larger battery. Pricing of the Fujifilm X-T4 starts from ₹154,999 (US$2,048) for the body only. Optional Fujinon lens kits and accessories are also available.

Fujifilm has announced the launch of the flagship X-T4 mirrorless camera in the Indian market. The X-T4 brings in several improvements over the X-T3 including enhanced autofocus, in-body image stabilization (IBIS), a new shutter mechanism, and a larger battery.

The X-T4's IBIS system offers a 5-axis 6.5 stop image stabilization to aid night photography, sports, and video. Fujifilm said that IBIS in the X-T4 is 30% smaller, 20% lighter, and quieter than the one in the X-H1. The X-T4's new shutter unit allows 15 fps burst capture with a rated durability of 300,000 cycles and shutter noise that is 30% quieter compared to the X-T3.

Fujifilm has also increased the battery capacity this time around with the X-T4 sporting the new NP-W235 battery that the company claims lasts for approximately 500 frames per charge in Normal mode, 600 frames per charge in Economy mode, and up to 1,700 frames when two additional batteries are used with the optional VG-XT4 camera grip. The performance of the phase detection autofocus (PDAF) is now as fast as 0.02 seconds to allow for capturing and tracking subjects moving at high speed.

The X-T4 also includes the Eterna Bleach Bypass Filter, which is a film simulation mode that provides Hard Tonality, Low Color Saturation, and Versatile Cinematic color tones simulating bleach bypass — a traditional silver halide film processing technique.

Videographers also stand to gain a lot of new functionality with the Fujifilm X-T4. Slow motion video can now be captured in FHD at 240 fps while being stabilized by IBIS. The X-T4 can record DCI 4k 60 fps 4:2:2 10-bit via HDMI or 4:2:0 10-bit on the internal SD card with up to a 400 Mbps bitrate. Video can be recorded on to two SD cards simultaneously for backup.

The Fujifilm X-T4 is being priced at ₹154,999 (US$2,048) for just the body. An X-T4 kit with the Fujinon XF18-55mm F2.8-4 lens will be available for ₹184,999 (US$2,445) while the kit with a Fujinon XF16-80mm F4 R OIS WR lens will be priced at ₹199,999 (US$2,643). All bundles include freebies worth ₹18,500 (US$245) that include a 64 GB UHSII memory card and a BC-W235 dual charger.

Pre-bookings can be made on Fujifilm India's website for the body or the kit with 16-80mm lens by paying an advance of ₹5,000 (US$66).
