One of the most popular zombie games has just dropped to its lowest-ever price on Steam. The discounted edition also comes packed with plenty of extra content.

Dying Light was originally released back in 2015, and even after all these years, it is still considered one of the best zombie games ever made. Its mix of parkour, survival horror, and an open-world setting helped it stand out from other titles in the genre. And if you have somehow never played it, now might be the perfect time to jump in, as the game has just dropped to its lowest-ever price on Steam.

Normally, the Dying Light Essentials Edition costs $24.99 on Steam. Right now, however, an ongoing deal has slashed that price by 88%, bringing it down to just $2.99. That is an impressive discount for a game that still holds up well and comes packed with content. It also has over 94,000 reviews on Steam and currently holds a Very Positive rating.

It is also worth noting what the Essentials Edition includes. Along with the base game, you get access to several extra content packs. These include the Bozak Horde DLC, the Cuisine & Cargo DLC, the Ultimate Survivor Bundle, the 5th Anniversary Bundle, the 10th Anniversary Bundle, and more. On top of all that, the Retouched Update brings enhanced visuals, improved lighting, graphical upgrades, and a remastered soundtrack, making the game look and sound better than it did at launch.

At its core, Dying Light offers a large open world set in a city overrun by the infected. Players take on the role of Kyle Crane, an operative sent into the quarantined zone. You need to survive by searching for supplies, crafting weapons, and carefully managing resources. Combat focuses heavily on melee weapons, with a wide variety of tools and upgrades available as you progress.

Parkour is one of the game’s biggest features, allowing players to climb buildings, leap across rooftops, and escape danger using speed and agility. The day and night cycle also changes how the game feels. During the day, exploration is safer, but once night falls, enemies become far more aggressive and powerful, turning the player from hunter into hunted.
