Czech indie developer Petr Šimůnek is taking an unconventional approach on Steam, regularly releasing new racing games that share the same core concept and carry the “Evolution 2024/5” label in their titles. Each installment introduces a new selection of tracks and vehicles. The series began with Motorbike Evolution 2024, followed by entries such as Formula, Sidecar, Rally, Motorcross and Kart Evolution 2025. The most recent additions are Hypercar and Supercar Evolution 2025.

Šimůnek’s approach may strike some as spammy, but it comes with a clear advantage – players can focus entirely on the vehicle classes they enjoy most. If you are into multiplayer action and fast cars, Supercar Evolution 2025 may be worth a closer look. The game features large-scale online races with up to 40 players and an arcade-style driving model designed around short, high-energy matches. You begin with older vehicle types and gradually unlock modern supercars. Each race rewards experience points and in-game currency, which can be used to upgrade your vehicles.

It is worth noting that you may have to wait before racing against a full grid of 39 real players in Supercar Evolution 2025. According to SteamDB, the game’s peak player count so far stands at just 19. By comparison, Formula Evolution 2025 previously reached 136 concurrent players. Despite still being in Early Access, the game is also commended for solid optimization and performance – reportedly running more smoothly than some full-priced releases.

The main criticism of Supercar Evolution 2025 focuses on its simplified driving mechanics, which currently lack both a handbrake and a reverse gear. The collision penalty system is also viewed as inconsistent and occasionally unfair.
