RugOne is a subsidiary of Ulefone and is set to introduce a new outdoor smartphone called the RugOne Xever 7 Pro. GSMArena has already published first images and key specifications of the handset. Apparently, Ulefone did not opt for a particularly large battery in this case. However, the 5,500mAh battery can apparently be swapped out in a few simple steps.
A rather special feature is that the smartphone does not have to be restarted to swap the battery, as a tiny internal battery keeps the smartphone in standby for up to three minutes while the main battery is being replaced. A second battery is supposedly included in the box. Despite its modular design, the RugOne Xever 7 Pro is certified according to IP69K and MIL-STD-810H standards, meaning it’s waterproof. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 with 12GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The latter can be expanded via microSD.
The highlight of this upcoming rugged smartphone is arguably the triple camera on the back. In addition to the 50MP main camera with OIS, Ulefone has also included a 64MP night vision camera and a FLIR Lipton 3.5 thermal camera, which offers a resolution of 160 x 120 pixels and a frame rate of 9Hz. The 32MP selfie camera is located in a punch-hole.
Furthermore, the 6.67-inch AMOLED display has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak HDR brightness of 2,200 nits. The RugOne Xever 7 Pro ships with Android 15 and is expected to receive major software updates until Android 18. Last but not least, the smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a programmable button and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
