Epic Games has updated its weekly free game giveaway with a popular indie title. Aimed at gamers of all ages, The Spirit and the Mouse allows you to take control of a tiny mouse that is tasked with solving puzzles to restore electricity to a fictional French village.

Epic Games has updated its weekly game giveaway, having announced its contents last week. In recent times, the storefront has bundled multiple titles weekly in its game giveaway program. However, it has dropped back to putting the spotlight on a single game, which will be available to download for free later today.

Specifically, the Epic Games Store will reduce The Spirit and the Mouse from $19.99 to $0.00 at 15:00 UTC. As always, the giveaway will remain active until October 3 at 14:59 UTC. Please note that while The Spirit and the Mouse is available across PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Windows, Epic Games' giveaway only applies to the game's Windows release.

Additionally, the game requires relatively low system requirements, even in its recommended configuration. In theory, The Spirit and the Mouse should run on a Windows 10 system equipped with just 4 GB of RAM, an AMD A8-3850 or Intel Core i7-8550U and an AMD Radeon R7 250 or Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU. With that being said, the game's developers recommend at least 8 GB of RAM, plus a more powerful CPU like the AMD FX-4300 or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 GPU. Please see Epic Games' store listing for more details.
