With just days to go until Battlefield 6 launches, the developers have dropped a major community update to build excitement. The detailed update, which was shared on EA’s official website, talks about how the game has evolved since its massive Open Beta.
For starters, EA confirmed that 92 million hours were played during the Open Beta, which isn’t a surprise considering it managed to attract over 500,000 players on Steam in a single day. Aside from that, over 30 Battlefield Labs sessions were held with players, and the feedback gathered during the testing has helped the developers polish the game before the full launch.
For the full release, EA has made several changes and improvements to playlists and menus. For instance, from day one, all launch maps will be available across playlists, allowing you to play whichever map you prefer. On top of that, players will find a range of playlist options to jump into, including single-mode playlists, closed weapons experiences, and more.
The developers also confirmed that there will be a day-one patch for the game, which will come packed with over 200 changes. This update will focus on fixing bugs and making important balance changes so that everyone has a smooth experience.
In any case, Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10 on all platforms. For those planning to dive into the game as soon as it launches, you can preload it right now and install the files in advance.
