Battlefield 6 hasn’t even officially launched yet, but it’s already proving to be a massive hit. According to a new report from Alinea Analytics, the game has sold over 1.8 million copies on Steam, bringing in more than $100 million in revenue before release.
Alinea’s report notes that the beta period played a major role in driving sales. The beta attracted over 500,000 players, and it seems like most of them have decided to buy the full game.
“Our estimates show that it’s already sold over 1.8 million copies on Steam - that’s over $100 million in revenue on Valve’s platform alone. Hype during the beta period has clearly converted into sales. And that hype is continuing,” the report said.
The game’s popularity is also clear from its massive 3.5 million+ wishlists on Steam. Alinea points out that this level of pre-release engagement has never been seen before in the Battlefield franchise.
The report also shared some interesting data about wishlist overlaps. Around 13% of Battlefield 6’s wishlisters have also added Arc Raiders to their lists, 11% have wishlisted Deadlock, and 6% have added both Escape from Tarkov and Black Ops 7.
