Dell Streak 7-inch tablet to be launched soon

Teaser
Television ad treatment indicates a launch very soon, probably at the CES 2011

The Dell Streak 5-inch tablet-cum-smartphone was released earlier this year and talks of upcoming 7-inch and 10-inch models were doing the rounds ever since then. In fact, reports about the 7-inch Streak tablet were published here not long ago where company officials had indeed confirmed the development of the tablet and its sale within a short span of time; the 10-inch is far off though.

Previously this week, people reported of a listing of some accessories for the Dell Streak 7-inch version on Vaja, and thereafter the tablet got itself the WiFi certification. And now, to make things even more intriguing, Engadget reports of having in possession the treatment for the television ad that will mark the launch of the new tablet.  Not much is known about the tablet that will be Android-powered, but the ad treatment does say that the Dell Streak 7-inch will feature a Gorilla Glass screen, the Dell Stage user interface, and the Blio eBook app.

What interests us here in this recent development is that this pre-release preparation for the tablet leads us to assume that it might very well see itself being launched at the CES event. The CES 2011 already looks very promising for new tablet releases; is this yet another?
