Dell Streak 7 given official price and launch date

T-Mobile’s first 4G tablet was first announced back at CES earlier this month. However, details of its price and official release date were unavailable till now. That seems to have changed, as according to T-Mobile’s Twitter feed and website, the Dell Streak 7 will be officially launched this Wednesday, February 2^nd. 

When purchased along with a 2 year contract, the Dell Streak 7 will sell for $200 (after $50 Mail-In-Rebate).  For customers not looking to sign a contract, the Streak will be sold individually for $450; coming in less than Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab.

The 4G tablet will be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 Processor, and will feature a 7” screen, T-Mobile’s HSPA+ and will run Android OS. While the pricing makes the Dell Streak 7 an intriguing option, many more tablets are set for release in the coming months and should provide a good bit of competition.
